    Hi,

I want to give up porn. I've been using porn for a long time. I couldn't give you an exact year, but it started out with magazines left in smoko rooms on jobs my dad would take me around (He's in the building industry). By the time I got to Uni, the internet was full steam ahead, and my usage just got worse. I've had times when I've tried to give it up before, but it's never lasted long.

On top of that I'm getting married in July. Right now I'm not in the same country as my partner, and I won't see her until just before the wedding (don't worry, it's because of visa stuff, this isn't an arranged marriage!!!). So the plan is to go without PMO until I see her next, and then after that go without PM until I feel rebooted, and then of course the goal is no P.

    Hey Frodos,

I started with magazines as well, the internet just made it worst. I want you to know that marriage won't make PMO any less tempting. There may be some relationship components that you will need to work on. Anyway, there is a lot of support here.

    Welcome to the fight!

    Thanks jfromcr!

I just read you're story. Thanks for writing it down. It's inspiring that you gave it up after such a long time!

I do realise that marriage won't make PMO any less tempting. I've lived with this lady, (and other ex's) in the past. It's more that I don't want to drag my PMO addiction into the relationship anymore, and I am using the time I'm away from her to focus on no PMO at all. After that it's just not realistic for me to avoid the o's part!

And congrats on the 2132 days! I can only dream of that for now!
