Hey, don't mention it !Thanks amaranth! I do find myself wasting a lot of time on social media. And it has undoubtedly led me down some rabbit holes that have led to PMO. Thanks again!

Thanks! I'm going to try it out this week!I've just posted this thread a couple days ago: https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?threads/the-7-day-no-social-media-challenge-effective.271939
This challenge can definitely help you to get more aware of your social media use.
Great post! The President of the church I belong to invited church members to have a 10-day fast from all social media. It was a very difficult challenge for me. It showed me how addicted I was to social media. Social media is connected to my porn addiction. I’ve since stopped and/limited my use of specific social media sites as I’ve been able to see how destructive those sites are to my overall well-being. Couldn’t see it at the time I was lusting over them until I stepped back and saw them for what they are, time wasting, p-sub forms of momentary pleasure.I've just posted this thread a couple days ago: https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?threads/the-7-day-no-social-media-challenge-effective.271939

As amaranth said, waste of time and potential triggersHello all, just starting my journey in the NoFap community.I have seen a few different threads talking about limiting the use of social media While in a reboot. Just wondering why this is necessary? Also what would be a healthy usage of social media?
Noted! I'm going to give it a break for a while and see how I feel and take it from there. As amaranth said, waste of time and potential triggers
I want to add that browsing social media is a dopamine triggering activity, and I think some people while on reboot binge on it to get that dopamine and still escape their reality, which is damaging their brain and mental health in the long run
It isn't necessary to quit social media, but I believe it will help and will aid in recovery, and will protect you from potential relapses
Try limiting your usage, or maybe quit for like 3 days and see how it goes, then decide how much social media is enough for you
Just Be intentional about it, don't mindlessly scroll through it, that's the thing
Goodluck
