The Rock

Jesus is the rock. Toughness is a big part of quitting. A rock is tough, Jesus is tough. He continued living the right way when bad things happened to him.

When life gets tough, get tough. Try praying, Lord, help me to be tough. In tough situations, try saying, I will be tough (repeatedly). Try doing this because your mind and body are rebelling and want to give up. As an alternative, think, what would Jesus do in this situation?

Get doubly tough with new activities. When life gets tough, stay right with God, then, dig into new activities. It takes toughness to stick with new activities when you want _____. But be tough, stay tough, ask for Jesus' help to be tough, and in doing so, you will find a technique that will keep you living right.
