Do you know Porn has largely become mainstream in our society?

70% of men, 30% of women watch porn an average of 12 min at a time. Meaning some watch more, some less.

I’m not addicted to porn. I’m the victim of someone addicted to porn. Addiction? Conditioning? Self-induced or profit induced? Ah, Oh, Pavlov’s made a great study on this…Something about dogs and a bell. Hummm, I wonder these things as porn become more prevalent, it seems erectile dysfunction and loss of libido does also. Oh sure maybe it’s more stress. Certainly our predecessors never stressed over whether they’d harvested enough food to make it through the winter. Of course we have grocery stores. Survival is nearly guaranteed. Here’s some stat’s I found:

    From: http://fightthenewdrug.org/10-porn-stats-that-will-blow-your-mind/

11 Porn Industry Stats That Really Need To Change:

★(1) Porn sites receive more regular traffic than Netflix, Amazon, & Twitter combined each month. (HuffPost)

★(2) 35% of all internet downloads are porn-related. (WebRoot)

★(3) 34% of internet users have been exposed to unwanted porn via ads, pop-ups, etc. (WebRoot)

★(4) Porn increased marital infidelity by 300%. (WebRoot)

★(5) 30% of all data transferred across the internet is porn-related. (HuffPost)

★(6) The most common female role in porn is women in their 20’s portraying teenagers. (Jon Millward. In 2013, Millward conducted the largest personal research study on the Porn Industry in the U.S. He interviewed 10,000 porn stars about various aspects of the business.)

★(7) Child porn is one of the fastest growing online businesses. (IWF)

★(8) 624,000+ child porn traders have been discovered online in the U.S. (Innocent Justice)

★(9) Approximately 55% of teen girls living on the streets have engaged in prostitution. (Enough.org)

★(10) Child porn is a $3 billion industry. (TopTenReviews)

★ (11) Porn is a global, $97 billion industry, with $12 billion of that coming from the U.S. (NBC News)

Oh wow! Our daughter or daughter’s to be are certainly destined for porn stardom! I bet parents everywhere can’t wait to see that show! A mother and father must be so proud! Just look at what they’d be pulling in! 'If you have no daughters then give them to your sons.' For every debased girl is someone’s son conducting the debasement of someone else’s daughter. But hey, it’s all good, it’s just sex right? It’s natural.

Did you know one in four men at an outpatient clinic who sought help for erectile was actually under the age of 40? Plus, nearly half of those men were under age 40 — 48.8 percent of them — had a severe case of the sexual condition, compared with 40 percent of men older than age 40. Wowzers?! It must be something in the water.

Hey, know what, crap happens, relapses happen, right? No worries the medical community has men and women covered! There are multiple medical and surgical treatment options for the men or women and their partners. For just a little money one too could have a bigger D or tighter P. It’s only a couple grand, right? Oh yea, they’ve made 14 different drugs to help men out and they trying to create ones for women. For now though they'll give women the same meds for ED. Must be special…

Is it just me or does it seem the porn industry has their hands in the medical industry too? Does it seem folks might be getting duped? Suckered in so to speak? I’m sure these E-cigs have no part in the tobacco industry. Nay, nay. Good honest business men like those?! The porn industry I’m certain has your back. Just give them a call on you next relationship failure, I’m sure they’ll work it out. For a fee they’ll fix everything and throw in a free year’s prescription to latest P site! And you can continue to be a puppet, strung along by the false strings of sexual satisfaction.

Anyone seen Thank you for Smoking? If not, I encourage it.

Well, I believe if you made it this far down the post, perhaps – maybe together we can be smarter than big industry. At the very least you’ve a lot of persistence to deal with this level of sarcasm’s and distaste. I’m not anybody special, except maybe I’m special to my PMO addicted SO. Maybe. We’ll see. He could choose a buxom vixen, ready and able that’s created entirely in his mind and rubbed out with his hand, perhaps he’d pick the shy and timid girl he gets to school on sex and hurt, but he thinks she likes it. Maybe. Just maybe he gets wise. Maybe he’ll choose the reality. A pretty girl, sometimes shy and a bit awkward, a little too outspoken and unsure of how to express her emotions, maybe just maybe he’ll pick me.

The porn industry has had decades of experience in crafting their product. The cigarette companies used to not only make their products enjoyable to use but also to addict their users. Porn has been created to do the same thing. It addicts the most vulnerable people in society - the depressed, the anxious, the bored, the compulsive, and the lonely. But what porn does to the mind slowly addicts ALL of it's users. It's not until they are in a relationship or a sexual situation do they come face-to-face with the consequences of their so-called 'harmless habit'.

Over the years society has exposed many it's dirty little secrets... alcoholism, child molestation, cigarettes, fast food, etc. But somehow the harms of pornography has escaped being exposed. The problem is right below the surface... just look at how many jokes are made about porn and masturbation on television. It's said with a wink-and-a-nod as if to say 'we all know you're all doing it!'

I think it's a modern day form of slavery. Slavery to the participants. And slavery to those who are addicted. As long as there's money to be made then people will continue to be exploited. Unfortunately, the scourge will continue to destroy lives, marriages, and families.

''at a time'' what does it mean or refer to? 12 minutes per hour, day, week, altogether in life? I didn't get it.

Meaning each time porn is viewed it is viewed for at least 12 min. If porn was viewed 5 times a day the exposure would approximately 1 hour of the day.

  6. the really worrisome thing is if wallstreet/big banks get behind it. it's just as bad as dumping opium on china in the 1800s.

@i_wanna_get_better1 - What you say is true. I just don't understand it. It makes me very angry what is going for all parties involved. My SO works best with facts: numbers and science. The more I looked the madder I got. So many intelligent, wonderful lives ruined! I'm am glad this site is here. I'm glad there are those who have gotten addicted speaking out. Everything has to start somewhere.
