(TRIGGER WARNING) Short Opinion - The Great Lie

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Owari, Jul 6, 2016.

  1. MoTWoL, you really have been a positive influence during my fight. You and others on this site are the only reason why I haven't given in at all since I joined. I did start to watch but I shut it off after I realized what I was doing. Then I came here, to this site. I want to thank everyone on this site for helping me in my journey. If you're reading this Alexander, you are my role model. Your story inspires me. I think that I'm gonna try and stick to the kind words of the fapstronauts on this site from now on.

First things first, I saw the video you mentioned, and..

    WHAT THE HECK!

HOW, HOW can they say "it's good for you". IT'S GOOD FOR YOU!? IS IT REALLY GOOD FOR YOU!? It said that Porn Addiction hasn't been proven to be an actual thing, and that it isn't related to ED. WHAT THE HECK!? I'm raging at this point, but ARE YOU SERIOUS!? And "it makes you stronger". OH MY GOODNESS, HOW CAN THEY SAY THIS!? Everyone at BuzzFeed needs to come here to NoFap, and they will take back everything they said. I was absolutely addicted to porn, otherwise I'd be able to stop. And making me stronger!? All I felt was depressed and tired!

I absolutely agree 100% with everything you've said on here. I'm glad that you didn't fall into this trap and you resisted these justifications. This is purely sick imo. It's ruined my life and every day I have to worry about whether I'll relapse or if my family catches me watching porn or masturbating. As for the final part, I imagine something similar. I'm kind of scared because of it. I'm worried that I'll live my entire life, just masturbating, living a normal life except that I watch porn and masturbate every day. I'm worried I'll mirror my mother, who got hooked onto smoking at 12-14 and is addicted to this day. All of it is sick and horrible. The people make millions and even billions off of this stuff that is ruining lives around the world.
It's horrible to see and these people are stuck in an endless cycle they don't know how to break free of and/or think is okay. I think that I and anyone who registered on this site is lucky to have found some way and understood that what they're doing is a problem.

This gave me a lot of inspiration. Whenever I get my urges, I always get the thought of "Why did I stop? Remember how good it felt? Just go back bro, it won't matter!" Eventually though I come to my senses. This is the blindness that @TheSilentAce1 was talking about. These thoughts prevent me from seeing what I'm doing to myself until I've already done it. I've read justifying articles about porn that call people who have actually come to their senses "anti-porn fanatics" or "religious fanatics". You don't have to be some protester or priest/imam/rabbi/monk/etc. or Wahabi or Orthodox or whatever to understand what porn does to you. Like you said, everyone here is living proof of the damage PMO can do. We're basically a shell of our former selves, and the only thing keeping us together is bones. Everything else is just destroyed because of PMO. There needs to be more awareness on this like there has been with smoking and everyone addicted needs to come together to end it for the world and most of all themselves.
Again, this was absolutely inspiring and a real eye-opener.

  4. Well if my theory about porn being distributed by the New World Order or something then there will be no awareness about pmo addiction.

In that case then people need to take it into their own hands if the government won't do it unfortunately. If you're right though, the government would be in it for the money, I mean imagine how much money can be made from it (sadly...).

  8. I was getting this vibe... the things you guys discuss, I've toiled with for a long time. It gets exhausting living in a makeshift world where we know all the problems and all the answers but b/c of stupid shit like people not accepting it or not finding the resolve to see the truth, the situation persists... and such is the way with PMO imo.
    - the NWO as SilentAce puts it, it's grim but there's got to be a way out even if it's oblivion, we cannot become complacent. Let's first and foremost make ourselves worthy adversaries to all those sleep-walking zombies and reserve our fuel to be used when the times are right! And yes Owari, it's got to be a united effort but just as there are faults in any united movement, we must first change ourselves then.. the world will see itself change as a token to our change.
    - replace everytime you hear blood diamonds with PMO arsenal. First it was regarded as sexual liberalization which is great. People deserve their choices but the way the trade is explained in the video, I believe in real life, PMO functions even worse. Blood diamonds affect countries but the power to change such a situation lies in the hands of the niche few who are regular investors in such an endeavor. Hence, the countries must shake up and reach out so that the masses can subdue the ivory tower syndicates to abandon their ceaseless ambitions of gluttony and greed and acknowledge the cost of human life, value and potential. Similarly, then PMO content providers have a similar battle to face. But the war must first be fought by the individual - precisely why imo, it's so damned hard to notice the change.
The Revolution speech in V for Vendetta also gathers crowds with a purpose. We can identify with the urge to lash out at the wrongdoers. But I believe, for any form of sustainable change, either a ground-breaking resolve rips the floorboards upon which rest the current subdued view regarding PMO exists or a consistent and enduring tour-de-force like NoFap gears up and launches itself into the limelight - I believe the latter will be more effective than the former even if we feel like the former is more apt.

    End of rant. :p

That makes total sense! If the niche few won't change our situation we have to do it ourselves. And the first video.. I never thought of it until now, but that's so true. Everything here is fake. People waste their lives in front of a screen, or jerking off, or doing drugs, or drinking, or something else. Lots of potention is wasted because of this fakeness which needs to change. If we change ourselves, we can become rolemodels and living proof of the priblem and what needs to change. Just like the thing with smoking, there needs to be something with NoFap and I think te latter needs to be done. We need to be actively seeking addicts, not addicts seeking help, because a lot of people are afraid, scared, ashamed, or embrassed to get help. Even I am like this, and the only help I've gotten is on here. We need to be working towards actively ending PMO and addiction and restoring the lives of its victims who have lost everything from their grades to their jobs to their spouses.

  10. --- now in the context of PMO ---
Mainstream our struggle but more importantly, our success! And that's what NoFap is about - transcending, overcoming, and succeeding despite of it AND on TOP of it.

Too much thinking - let's workout now! :)

Also I ironically did over 100 push-ups today in short sessions without seeing this post. XD

  13. Okay sorry to bother y'all but this simply just needs to be said. And I'm angry goddammit. There is absolutely no reason why we should watch porn. These bastards that make this don't have good intentions. They take our money, our time and most importantly our SEED. It's all for nothing. The people on the other side of the screen don't love us back. They just want your money. They make you feel good while they stab you in the back. Not only do they brainwash and rape women and men and make videos of it, they rape our wallets too. We give so much money to these fuckers. Porn is a billion dollar industry. They then use this money to commit atrocities across the globe. These people that make porn are EVIL! They want the death of the whole human race. They give us PIED so we can't create more humans then in our weakened state they'll come in kill off most of us and keep the rest as a science experiment or in a zoo. The NWO is coming people. I WON'T EXIST FOR THEOR ENTERTAINMENT! I'LL DOE BEFORE I BECOME A SLAVE TO THEM AND THEIR COMPUTERS. You better get ready. They're already cracking down on guns and nobody seems to care in their zombie like state. First they disarm us then they'll come in and take over. Heed my words before its too late folks.

I think it's not just porn it's just the attitude of having sex is an alpha thing n telling the world of it is great. i saw a wrestling video where a guy had sex with a girl inside the wrestling ring on a bed or something. n then he was like proud of it or something.

    SO SO SO SO TRUE!!!
What do you think happens with cigarettes? Drugs? Alchohol? The makers make money while the users get used. It's money off of causing harm. And our country allows all of this. Ironically people call countries like Saudi Arabia "restricting" and "not free" because these things are BANNED, but it's actually protecting people. It all sucks. Porn users have ruined relationships, PIED, etc., porn stars get raped, stds, die of drugs, etc. and the makers just get money. It's all sick.
