    Hello everyone,
I've been using porn to cope with sad moments, especially when rejected by girls I liked. I ended up doing it just to pass the time. I now realize I feel always with low energy, anxiety and sometimes depression. I don't want to try new things or put effort into human relations. I hope I can improve myself in this...

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

I stopped watching porn a few weeks ago and so far I don't feel the need to watch it... but I want to see how much time I can stay without M... usually after a week it gets really difficult when I don't have much to do...

  7. One of the ways I got involved with the fellowship was by reading some really great journals.

I've included journals from all age groups, spiritual members, religious members, secular members, male and female. You should find journals that help. If not, look around, there are hundreds of others from which to choose. When I say "it works if you work it", reading journals is part of that work.

Once you open a journal, click "Watch Thread" in the upper right of the page to get alerts when new posts are made. Here are just a few:

There are many more, and you can discover them on your own. But, these are great places to start.

This is a work in progress. So, if a journal has changed or is no longer active, look around there are some amazing journals on here.

Everyone here has really great advice that can really help you. I am really glad to hear that you have stopped warching P for some time now, that has some benefits on its own. I believe, though, that there are greater benefits when refraining from M. I don’t have any new advice as it has all been given. That was one of my triggers too, boredom. The only thing that helped me is realizing that it really doesn’t cure boredom. How much fun is it really and how much tome could it possibly pass? When I knew the answer I was able find something that did that was more fulfilling and now boredom is no longer a ytigger -even when I am actually bored.

  9. I think you just offered some great advice. Thank you. Boredom is a huge trigger for me as well.

I think of HALT - Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired. When I'm feeling a trigger, I run down that list. Many times it's one of those. Sometimes, it's something else. But, HALT is a great place to start. Often I don't need a 55 minute hour with my shrink, I need a cup of soup.

Exactly. That’s the technique I learned use in subduing and seizing thoughts. Sometimes mine is HALT, especially Anger(bitterness). But more often than not it is anxiety that is my trigger.
