I’m on day 138 of no PMO, and last night I had a very sexual dream without O. In my entire 138 days, I’ve only had two wet dreams, and it just now occurred to me. I had a vasectomy last year. My Dr. told me that my semen would be naturally absorbed back into my body without any issue. I guess that finally explains the lack of wet dreams.

That also makes me wonder how many other men on this site have vasectomies and if they’ve experienced the same thing.

Whether I M and O or not, my semen is going to be retained for the rest of my life.

  2. The fact that you forgot you had a vasectomy is hilarious to me :emoji_joy:

Anyways good shit man keep making those nofap gains

I didn’t really “forget” so much as I hadn’t connected the idea to semen retention. I agree, it’s still hilarious.

Do you still have wet dreams without ejaculation(semen)? Because I am thinking about vasectomy.

  5. That's so cool. Having no more Wet Garbage Dreams happening!

  6. Vasectomy does not prevent ejaculation. The liquid part of ejaculation comes from the prostate and not from the testicles. The sperm are retained and reabsorbed, but the man continues ejaculating and having orgasms normally.

So, that’s a funny misconception that I myself made prior to my vasectomy. Semen makes up a very small portion of ejaclatory fluid. I still have wet dreams, and I do ejaculate, (wet pajamas, sheets, whatever) but there is no semen in that fluid.

That’s why I when I really became skeptical of the semen retention “super powers”. I don’t want to be negative toward anyone’s positive journey, but for me, I knew letting go of that reason as a motivation was a good thing.

  8. I also do think that none should be motivated based on possible super powers. Life is for real and what really happens is that, without spending time on masturbation and pornography, the guy will be able to dedicate his life to better things.

I asked here on the forum a few weeks back if men like you still benefit from semen retention like those of us who never had a vasectomy.
Seems like cheating. Meaning you can still MO and keep your seed within.

Yeah, that’s my point. I no longer have a choice in the semen retention.

I am choose to abstain from PMO without a partner.

I had a vasectomy last year. At this point I can say that nothing has changed. My libido is the same, I still eyaculate and just because my body re absorbs sperms it doesnt mean I have super powers. Honestly I think thats..just bullshit. With that logic, if you would drink your semen (and the sperms in it) you would develop super powers..

I think the benefits from Nofap come from just discipline and not wasting your time pmoing, aside having better habits and better ways to cope with this difficult world.

Yup, the mental discipline and not wasting time are enough benefits for me. At least for now. We’ll see if I ever “fall in love” again, but while I’m going through my divorce, I’m extremely grateful for this gift of clarity.
