personally, I have very low will power.

I use u tube videos to distract my self as well as exercise.
I try to attend crossfit daily which helps cravings.

I also watch motivational videos on YouTube that sometimes helps.
My videos include motivational speakers, secular music, Christian music, ted talks

I will post some of the videos below.
Hope everyone enjoys and can appreciate them.

Please feel free to post your own videos with why it helps you.

    Hi,
I don't think that distracting yourself is the solution here, because it will always get you. By watching a lot of videos you are wiring your brain to always need them even tough they are educational, but while you are watching them you mind goes to porn since you are in a relaxed state. You will need to take action. Improve your life, read books, get rid of the TV, newspapers, and always meet new people.
Yes, it's hard at the beginning because you need to build that will power and escape the comfort zone, but one step at a time, and you will see that life is so beautiful.
Also, delete all porn from your computer and every time you "need" to watch it on-line, just close the computer. Your brain will scream, so just go out and take a walk. Do this for a few weeks, and you should see the improvement.

  4. I have found for me engaging in a new hobby has helped a lot, i make scale models and has become somewhat of an obsession but at least a more healthy one. Also socialsing more is important because the act of viewing porn alone is clearly an isolating experience. I try to read but it takes me weeks to finish a book. I now listen to the radio whereas before i never turned it on. for me it's been about having a host of options available to entertain and engage in. I still also continue to work on my mental health because i still suffer with anxiety and a bit of depression, but these days i realise those unwanted or difficult emotions are no excuse to go and seek out relief in immoral ways, there are better alternatives at our disposal which do not add weight to our problems. I know for example if things get real bad (which they haven't done for a while now) then i can phone up a helpline and talk to someone like the samaritans about whatever is on my mind or even visit their local drop in centre and have found it really useful to just sit and talk to someone who will listen and not judge. This is part of developing better coping mechanisms for any difficult emotions or mental health issues we might have which could act as a precursor to wanting to act out with porn if they are not dealt with properly.

I find youtube to be a 'danger zone', if you've ever watched something remotely triggering on youtube - chances are a similar video will come up on your recommended feed. Also watching videos in general is closely related to the problem of pmo, so best to keep limited, at least that's what I found.

Thinking outside the box has helped for me. If I can't get to the gym I'll do some gardening or go for a walk. I try to cook some new things, visit a new suburb. Moving my computer out of my room was probably the best move.

Anything that's different is good, because it'll encourage your brain to engage and learn, and in doing so - help distract you.
