    Hey fellow fapstronauts,

    23 year old male here.

    I’m not going to lie, I’ve always thought the whole NoFap is a bit of a meme perpetuated on various subreddits and 4chan threads, but I figured that if anyone should give this a shot, it would be me.

    I’ve been dealing with something I wouldn’t necessarily term a sex addiction, but my sexual drive is insanely high and insatiable. Haven’t really confronted this in therapy sessions because then I’d have to disclose my weird porn viewing habits, which I’m not willing to do.

    I’ve been masturbating daily, sometimes multiple times a day since I’ve hit puberty. The fact that I do not use lube makes it so there’s been a few occasions where I’ve actually rubbed the skin on my dick raw and caused physical pain for a few days.

    To make a long story short, my death grip masturbation technique, anxiety due to issues ejaculating during sexual encounters outside of masturbation, and my inability to be able to look at sex in a more healthy manner has led me to this point.

    Starting at 12 AM, as it becomes February 17th 2018, I will officially begin my NoFap journey. I’ll be taking this one day at a time and see what happens. It certainly never hurts to try!

    Look forward to interacting with you all.

    Cheers!

  2. Hey @PSC94 ,

    Been there. Circumcision makes death grip even worse.

    The good news, during your reboot (I see your goal as on Porn or Masturbation), sores won't be a problem. But, really - lube is essential even during vaginal intercourse.

    Very glad you are here. I'm just a normal member. Not a moderator or anything like that.

    When I arrived here, I was very confused by the program. So many terms, ideas, different opinions. I was in some ways as overwhelmed with NoFap as I was with pmo.

    I found two things that helped me.

    First, was reading up on the program and figuring out where to start and how to work my program. The best page is the one with the list of all the resources available.

    https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-users-list-of-rebooting-resources.50878/

    That page explained the program. I read every article and watched all the videos on that page.

    Next, was the community. By getting involved, reading people's posts, remembering to "like" the posts, reading the post not only in the forum, but on people's profiles, I found a great group of people.

    This is a diverse community. We have religious people and secular ones. There are men and women. People with months of no pmo and those just starting out. As well, there are many different approaches to remove porn from our lives forever.

    Keep reading posts and profiles. You will find someone who is telling your own story. Keep posting your own story, someone needs to read it.

    Looking forward to reading many more posts from you,

  3. One of the ways I got involved with the fellowship was by reading some really great journals. Reading other's stories with their victories and even defeats is a big part of my program.

    I've included journals from all age groups, spiritual members, religious members, secular members, male and female. You should find journals that help. If not, look around, there are hundreds of others from which to choose. When I say "it works if you work it", reading journals is part of that work.

    Once you open a journal, click "Watch Thread" in the upper right of the page to get alerts when new posts are made. Here are just a few:

    There are many more, and you can discover them on your own. But, these are great places to start.

    This is a work in progress. So, if a journal has changed or is no longer active, look around there are some amazing journals on here.

    PS - Starting a journal also helped me a great deal.

    The journals are listed by age groups on the forum start page. Most members run one journal only. That way both the member and others can go back and look at their journey at a later time.

    Hope to read your journal soon. Also, in your personal details you can put a link to your journal. Then, appears under your avatar.

  4. For me NoFap is 1/2 program & 1/2 fellowship.

    Click on these people and post a "hello" on their profiles.

    I've found that the bricks that hold this community together are cemented with the support of the members of the fellowship.

    @JakeO5
    @Arohamystic
    @MLMVSS
    @Rising Sun !!
    @Ready to be healthy
    @Brahmacharin
    @Struggle Bug
    @tet2vd
    @Satchi
    @BigDawg913
    @zakes
    @C. J.
    @LilD
    @kropo82

    Look at with whom they exchange messages and you will find more profiles.

    So, if you would have found more profiles yourself, why suggest these particular ones as a start? Those relationships started with just saying hello. So, my ESH is that saying hello has kept the fellowship alive for myself.

    Looking forward to your success and in seeing you say hello on these profiles,

    Appreciate the warm welcome L.

    I’ll be sure to check out the resources you’ve provided for sure.

    Also the whole concept of journals are a cool idea. I’ll probably start one up at some point.

    Hello my friend and welcome. You will find lots of support here if you are willing to listen to others and accept the support. This is honesty one of the best communities I have ever found, filled with people with the same problem who want to help. Good luck.
