Few times in 30 days i watched porn so i wonder does it counts as relapse? Just want to be short and say that the feeling is amazing. Everything what you do is better so i keep up and im gonna try it as long as i can.
If you realised you should not watch while you were watching, you are on the right path. It might slow down your healing a bit but I don't like the idea of relapse or not. Just try to keep away day by day and make it a lifestyle choice.
Everyone has different ideas of what relapses are and everyone has different goals. My personal idea of a relapse is fapping to porn. If I watch porn but resist fapping, I do not count it as a relapse because I am not letting my hands take it to the next level and causing ejaculation. On the flipside, I completely understand people who think just watching porn is a relapse. It is up to you to define a relapse and set your own goals. Congratulations though for 30 days! That is an AMAZING achievement! Go celebrate bo
For me, I consider watching Porn a relapse because the brain still getting its dopamine kick that your trying to stop. Plus edging keeps dopamine levels high until you O but if you dont O, your brain sits in a toxic soup for a while.
Take it from me, if you are going to watch porn then relspsing is just Some days or hours from now. If you are fasting, will you go sit in a restaurant where your favorite foods are cooked and has aroma all over the place? For me it always start with a harmless attempt to check out some Girl on social media and end up watching more on porn sites and before long I have my Dick in my hands and then.... I'm all Rock bottom, low, weak, sick, tired, .. ..
Just my opinion - but I have personally found it better to relapse and start again fresh, rather than have a look at porn a few times over a streak. Every time I looked at even non-nude images, a few hours or days later I would relapse. Better to start day 1 and try cold turkey again. I don't mean this as an excuse to relapse big time, just that in my experience: Having a quick look = 1 week free to get over it. Having a few minutes or hours looking = definite relapse only a matter of when. The good news is that you made it 30 days despite some small slip ups. That's no small feat so nice work!
Not to undermine your progress, because abstaining from fapping for 30 days is a great accomplishment. But here’s how I look at it. Porn is our biggest enemy. It’s the primary reason we’re all here on this site. Nothing, I repeat, nothing good comes from porn. So in my opinion watching porn, whether you’re masturbating to it or not, is a relapse. There’s a reason why on your day counter on this website “______ days without porn” is always included in the selected options, whether or not you choose to include “masturbation” and “orgasm”. For someone that is only trying to abstain from porn, masturbation and orgasm are still acceptable. For someone trying to abstain from porn and masturbation, orgasm (sex with a partner) is still acceptable. And obviously if you’re on hard mode, then engaging in any of those three is going to result in a relapse… you get the picture. The bottom line is you should decide which of the three options you want to go with and stick to it (no P, no PM, or no PMO). But either way, viewing porn is definitely going to prevent you from ever fully recovering. So in answer to your question, yes, I view watching porn as a relapse.
If you watched it in intention for seeking physical stimulation, then I might say thats a relapse. But don't freak out, get it in a positive way instead. It's great that you didn't actually M, so yeah keep going on and note that your long journey isn't completely wasted.
It doesn't matter if you MO or not, best case scenario, just by looking at porn you are reinforcing the porn-arousal-dopamine pathways in your brain that you are trying to overcome. Worst case is the above plus high potential for a full PMO relapse. Not worth it. Porn is a lame cheap lazy fake thrill just cut it out entirely. You don't need it in your life. Very well done on 30 days not fapping
The main thing here is porn addiction, so, what sense does a non full relapse do? If you watch porn you relapse...
Not good actually. The withdrawal symptoms are strong, with ups and downs. I got the worst withdrawal phase (for now) between day 100 and 110. Now it's a little better, but the way is still long. Do not believe too much in people who say they're rebooted and new in 90 days (even if that may happen), most people need a year or two to recover.
Stiff muscles, very stiff legs, pain to the joints, neck , back. I developed a rhinitis, it's hard to sleep. Very high depression, suicidal thoughts some days, teeth pain. More or less all the withdrawal symptoms everybody describes.
