I was thinking whether I should post here or not, cuz I don't see myself successful yet. But if the requiremnt is over 30 days, you got me. Im not the first time passing 90 days. This is going to be my second phrase of nofap challenge. During this time, lots happened; Personal issues, lost opportunities...despite nofap, nothing really changed in my life but looks like the world is punishing me for my choice. 90 days ago, I was doing this alone, all by myself. During this 90 days, I followed the program with APs and stay out going as much as possible. I don't see any changes except: Self awareness has increased. I stop worrying about how others think but how I think about me. Ideas. Possible solutions to some conflicts are flowing without my control. Confidence. I can talk to the opposite sex without a second thoughts. Although I do prefer if she can dress properly. On this occation, I want to thank to those who are constantly supporting me from this forum. Myself alone couldn't done this far. My transformation continues.
Take cold shower as a part of your morning routine, work out at least 3 times a week and use, use the emrgency button when you have one of those urges. Start with these and gradually add useful habits to your routine. Love and warmth.
Whenever your desires start say out loud or in your mind STOP, another tip is holding your breath for 30 seconds reduces your erection Good luck!
I have made it past 90 days 3 times in the past. My record is 105 days. I realised that the addiction is strong with me and maybe it is so with you as well. Make sure that Nofap is not all you do You have to find something good to replace it with. Try Yoga, Martial arts, meditation. Try some hobbies. Having a social life is important. Do you have other addictions beside nofap? If so, try to cut down on those too so you dont end up replacing one addiction with another. Read inspiring literature and so on. No limits to what you can do. PMO was your way of getting your dose of dopamine. Try replacing it with healthy stuff. Nature has wired you to enjoy nature, people and exercise. Try it out
A term called urge surfing is known to work pretty well. Just learn to observe the urges without fighting it. The only thing you need to do is to not act on it. Do like the surfers do. Just surf the waves Or quote (zen master Rinzai I think): This too will pass.
Stay away from mobile ( or thing that drag u to there) it's helping me... I am not using my mobile in my weak times ie from night 11 to morning 7.. Locked my mobile... We start using it after complting my 30 days... ( btw for the first time I have completed my 7 days....-) I have bought one basic handset ( call only) and my second number with smartphone is out of touch.... I am confident at this stage to cover 30 days Last 4-5 failed attempt I was dragged up on 4th day only.....
I am not I position to guide you bro, but your efforts itself talks that you will find solution for your problems. I heard that for some people more time is required...may that be the case with u? Best luck.....
Thanks for everyinput. I have dayily routine so no worry for relapse. I'm not taking cold shower as most folks suggested, it's cold here. I'm not replacing anything but enjoying the days I have. That's from lessons learned. Im also a vet of 90 days. The difference is I'm reducing alone time than before. Always doing something, or staying with someone. Do I still have urges the answer is yes. I don't really care about it. I think it's normal to have that. With some pushups Just don't over think it fellas. Happy 100
Cold showers are great I haven't done them in several years because they are so painful. But that's the point with them. You feel so bad ass afterwards.
Brother what u suggest to live life full during nofap journey or to focus more on nofap and restricte on other areas?
Definitely true... Mobile phone is an enemy with all those triggering apps. Social media makes you feel alone and excluded, it also makes you feel like a loser and you lose your self-esteem which I believe is the true source of your strength against pmo addiction. I'm taking the no screen challenge, which means I do not use any electronic device with a screen after 22:30, and my sleeping routine is back to normal, (that was a big issue for me as I suffered from insomnia that effect m nofap consistency, workout plans and overall life quality) I see some humbleness here and I like it but I also gotta be honest: You're an inspiration for many here with +90days and it is a success. Let me tell you another change that you don't see; you show us that it CAN be done. And this will make many other changes in many other peoples lives. So thank you and please keep it up.
So fast, here is my second 90 days. Coincidentally today I'm certified as advanced CPR provider. Happiness doubled
