My tastes in regards to porn changed dramatically over the years (I started at age 8 or 9; I'm 21 now). At first I started pretty normal like anyone else with normal boy/girl or sometimes mild lesbian sex. Pretty quickly though, things changed a lot.

First I started looking at rather common fetishes like foot fetish porn, which I think might be a natural fetish of mine (not a porn-induced one). I don't really feel bad about that one; I can deal with it pretty well. However, things drifted off into very very dark genres after some more time.

I was more and more interested in very aggressive and abusive types of porn (and when I say "very" I mean it). I started looking at very disgusting types of porn as well, which I would be truely ashamed about if anybody ever found out. On top of that, I engaged more and more in self-destructive types of porn as well, which really had a robust effect on me. Some of it left emotional scars, which might not go away ever. I can't forget what I saw and heard.

I feel very very uncomfortable about the stuff I watched. That's another reason why I want to stop. I'm 100% certain, that I would not have developed interest in any of these genres, if it wasn't for porn. However, I don't want to name any specific fetishes, because I don't want to trigger others unnecessarily. This thread can be triggering as it is, no need to make it worse for anyone.

  2. Hey man, glad to meet another afflicted with this.

I'm mostly the same way, but I do tend to prefer humans/humanoids. But I've certainly dabbled in the dragon/furry/other stuff (obviously
    cakeinferno
). I also discovered it at an early age - maybe 7 or 8, possibly younger. I would fantasize about a girl in my class shrinking me to the height of a few inches and then swallowing me. And when I played video games I'd let the characters get eaten etc. I actually didn't realize that there was porn for this until a few years after I started watching porn. If I had, I certainly would have only watched vore stuff.

I've recently found out that it's becoming somewhat mainstream - I think that's a good thing because people need to understand that there are a ton of sexual fetishes that thousands of people have but that nobody wants to openly admit.

While I think that it's certainly an interesting fetish, and that there's enough porn of it to last a lifetime, I think I've had my fill (haha) and it's time to move on to real women.

  3. i am curious has any research or insight been done about the meanings/reasons for this ? it seems very symbolic almost like sexualized mythology.

  4. I have only heard theories, and I don't think there's any research on it. Maybe in a few years someone will investigate it. But it seems to be about submission/dominance roles. I can confirm that I'm definitely submissive as far as straight men go. It might also be about disgust and revulsion. I think sometimes people can wind up being attracted to things simply because they are revolting or taboo, ie. piss and shit. People have said that it's about intimacy - being as close as possible to someone, which happens to be inside of them.

Both predation and sexual arousal are very strong natural urges, but in most people they are separate from one another. For some unknown reason, when these two urges/instincts are combined or mixed or fused in some way, the result is something like vorarephilia. Interestingly, very few people seem to be "preds," or people who get arousal from eating others. It seems like most people with this fetish desire to be the ones getting eaten. It's kind of fucked up but kind of interesting - needless to say I've seen enough horrific shit related to this fetish such that I am now ready to move away from it.

  5. My tastes were moulded in the 70s from a very popular men's magazine that specialized in lesbian scenes. I guess I am lucky that my interests never went much beyond that. But I feel that the rush of seeing those scenes for the first time got right into my very core, so maybe I should be glad it wasn't something worse. Even thinking about those moments kind of triggers me.

  6. It's funny, I started with lesbian porn and thought it was the hottest thing ever. Now I'm kind of turned off by girl on girl stuff, or at least indifferent to it.

  7. I have found an unwillingness by psychiatrist and the medical community to look into sexual problems like this means (pretty much it's hey embrace your sex preferences whatever it is, as long as its not harming someone you're repressing yourself) i generally can't trust them as a resource, but jay stringer has a book unwanted - he is a christian based author but most of it is nuts and bolts therapy based on his research - but sound idea he has is that your fantasies represent something in your past or an unmet need. This sounds pretty reasonable to me.

another alternative resource is look into dream interpretation -its a little more of a fuzzy 'science' if even that but's much easier to find answers that may not apply directly but at least help shed some light. It's probably pretty easy to find a dream of being eaten.

amen! but it could just be escalation, but for example, a lot of cultures that practiced cannibalism believed you were absorbing the spirit by eating them.
Famously Christianity symbolically eats the body and blood of Christ (some Romans mistook aearly Christians for cannibals!) so there might be something primeval here..

on the 'being eaten' end of course we have Jonah and the whale.

Not saying any of this is an answer, but maybe somewhere to look?

yep. I also remember being wowed just by seeing a picture a woman in yoga pants....
I think hypersexualization of everything..(even non porn) has turned our minds partially to sexualize needs - which could be the root of some fetishes. problem is not many 'experts' are willing to examine it beyond saying it can't be fixed...

  8. yep, got you hooked on something you could never by definition be a part of!

  9. Yes, that is so true. I have often thought about that. I sometimes think that the attraction to lesbian porn says something about a guy's belief in his own masculinity. I don't mean the bullshit swagger kind, you know what I mean, but perhaps a feeling of inadequacy that was somehow relieved and fed by those images. Weird!

  12. When I comes to porn I don't think that it had influence on any of my fetishes.I have been consuming porn for 10 years and up until now my tastes have stayed the same.I generally don't have a lot of fetishes and a never progressed to some really "unique" fetishes to satisfy the need for novelty. For me the amount of porn videos is enough to last a lifetime and I never felt the need to progress in other fetishes(bdsm, cuckold, vore, trans, gay etc.)And I don't think I ever will.

Once you stop watching porn a lot of weird fetishes go away. When I watched porn I was obsessed with cumming in on a woman's face, after I stopped watching porn it didn't appeal to me as much.

I'll throw mine in. I progressed quickly into weird things from a very young age...I was definitely in middle-school when I discovered pornography. In high-school I 'discovered' several more things.....that I liked cybersex...and that I might be bisexual (still confused about that one). I got a little bit into phone sex (usually with much older people) when I was around thirteen or fourteen (gee wonder how )....but that didn't last long. Really by the time I was sixteen I had turned to cybersex and the room I frequented was centered around animated or drawn porn. So since sixteen just about any topic found in animated pornography has been acceptable for me to include in a cybersex session. It started with normal stuff...but it didn't take long for me not only to be exposed to new fetishes, but for me to get bored with the older stuff at the same time.

  19. That's not even that bad.

  20. What's bad for one might be ok for another - and just because one might not be as bad as someone else doesn't mean they don't need help.
