Today I stumbled upon a very interesting article on the web. I'd suggest you have a read through. http://fightthenewdrug.org/porn-is-taking-away-mens-ability-to-have-actual-sex The fact that pmo can drastically reduce your chances of having a healthy intimate relationship with a partner has motivated me to start a nofap journey. Thoughts?
I'd love to read more about this subject, but it's hard to find articles about the effects of porn in intimate relationships. I've heard that this is because it's very hard to isolate a group of people in a research who don't watch porn. There simply aren't enough people who do not pmo in their free time.
Porn Induced Erectile Function is commonly known unless you've been living under a rock (like my own personal doctor). There's absolutely no way to deny porn addiction and/or sexual dysfunctions (such as ED) related to overstimulating porn use, plain and simple.
If you look into the studies on that website from the 80's there is plenty of evidence that it adversely affects relationships. In the 80's most of these studies could be conducted with control groups because porn wasn't as readily available as it is now. They ended up having to stop the research because the effects were so negative it was deemed unethical to continue.
I respectfully disagree. Never did I hear about PIED until March 2015, and I only found out because I actively went looking for answers other than stress. And I certainly am not living under a rock. I just never have been exposed to this information. I know a lot of stuff that is going around on this shitty planet from politics to cultural behavior but I never heard of PIED. How can this be possible. The only answer I have is that this information is being blocked at important levels, so that it can't reach to the masses.
http://www.yourbrainonporn.com is a great site with a lot of information. Also check out http://sacredsexualityproject.com/ this guy really knows his stuff.
Thanks man! I really need a fresh start to get out of my head the usual sites I was hooked on like fapshows.com. Hopefuly with this I can really make myself understand the issue and keep on without it.
Edited out the site names. Surely listing a bunch of sites ain't a good idea fella. We all know where to find it, we're trying to avoid it.
During my teenage years people told me that porn and masturbation was good and healthy without telling me the dangers of doing it excessively. I think banning it is not possible. Children need to be educated in this before hitting puberty.
I like to add this link as well that hasn't been mentioned: http://www.thecoreofattraction.com/online-porn-induced-ed-how-to-fix-it-now/ It has plenty of useful info.
Definitely some good links. Something to be mindful of and talk with my son about as he comes into the age where the hormones are starting to flow.
