Hi. I have this cool app that block content on my iphone. I just realize all I need to bypass it is to delete that app. Not cool. Is there a way to lock an app with a password. I would just bury that password in the backyard and forgetabout it. So far the only way I found to do this is by using screen time. Unfortunately, I can turn it off with my apple ID. Not very useful either. i would really like to avoide option that involve relying on people around me. any ideas are welcome. Thank you
i use screentime on all of my devices and then i change my apple id password to random letters then send it to a friend’s email. That way i can only have the password to change the screen time passcode only when i really need it
Thank you Arthur. Isn't it possible to just say you forgot your password and go through the password recovery process?
You could create two new email accounts, then give both these email accounts a long password that is basically impossible to remember. I recommend mainly symbols. Then make the only recovery option of these email accounts the other email account. Then use one of these email accounts for your apple id. Then use the same password for these email accounts for your apple id password. Then store this password somewhere where it is difficult to access.
Brilliant! I'll work on it this afternoon. I'll update this post to give details of how it went. On a side note: in the past weeks I did try a few things to block adult content on my computers and mobile device. The moment I knew I couldn't access porn anymore, it's like my brain forgot about porn. I had no urge no nothing. It was like I didn't have this problem anymore. Eventually I get the idea to test the system, break it and the urge is back immediately but for the time I knew I couldn't access it, things were back to normal. Hopefully a system I can't break will do the trick. Winter will be here in a few week, I might just burry the password in the yard and let it freeze there until spring haha. Thank you
Thanks, that lockbox looks cool. New problem: I opened 2 email address, changed my apple id password and made it as complicated as I could. I really thought that was it. Then I realized I can use the passcode I use to unlock my tablet to reset that very complicated password and bypass everything. It takes 5 sec to take my system down
Sorry I didn't read your reply correctly. I thought the screentime passcode on apple products couldn't be bypassed with the code to unlock the tablet? I thought you needed the screentime passcode for this? You can ask on here for more help https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?t...ve-your-willpower-an-aid-easy-streaks.272658/
does this work? Because when I press forget apple ID or password on change screen time password, it will make you set up a new password then you can stop screen time please anyone has any idea ?
Guys, You can also make an different email Go pick random password and use this site to mail the random password to your email in whatever date you want: https://www.futureme.org/
Something else I recommend is when you create a password, mainly use symbols, and make it a long password. When you see a password multiple times over and over again and it is only letters and numbers, you eventually end up remembering it off by heart. With a long symbols password this does not happen.
I noticed that when I bring my phone into the restroom its bad news. I created a simple rule of no phone in the restroom. Even if it means leaving it at the door outside. It has not failed me when I follow it. I feel like it also brings more intention into my recovery. Maybe there are areas in the house you are historically more likely to indulge, and make them no phone areas. I know it's a very simple idea, but its worked for me. Hope it helps.
I'll set a screen time limit to the apps I use the most and set a random password. But I've been going back and forth unlock the limit with TunesKit iPhone Unlocker and reset the limit again... Any suggestion?
On screentime, it is better to have a friend log in for you. There is a setting there which makes deleting apps impossible. It is at the top somewhere. - Go to screentime, go to the option where deleting apps isnt possible. - Make friend log in and make a code and tell him to never give you that code - Done and what is the app you use?
