I guess i'm jumping in a bit late. But what the heck. I'm down for the cause. Last PMO was two days ago. I know the struggles that lay ahead. Just have to take one day at a time. Now let's kick some PMO tail!

I think it would be good idea. The gym helps me out a lot. I find that afterwards i am energized, focused on the end game, and ready for any challenges coming my way. Also a great distraction to get thoughts of P out of my head.

@RitualAesthetic .......girls are definitely and incredible motivation. However; make it more than that. Build up yourself. You'll have the attitude, confidence and swag. It won't matter if things work out with that 1 girl in question. Chics are into confident guys. If you rock that they will come to you.......Good day all !

@Captain Caveman ......the sucker punch ? The good Captain reminds all of us to stay vigilant. People quit smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol and shooting heroin. People have given up pmo. Imagine how you would feel if you never did this again. The freedom. The joy. The gifts in yourself that have laid dormant for far too long. Let's keep it going !

    Hey Buddy,

Well, the best thing is keep yourself busy. I know it is not that easy but here some tips

    1. If you havent read the book "your brain on porn" please read it, it will be the basis for your start.

    2. Physical activity is very important. I dont go to gem but I do (Cardio, Running, cycling, hiking or just walking).

    2. Controlling your mind and thoughts is essential, im determined not to think about sex at all, and frankly im even avoiding looking to any sexy girl in social media.

    3. Start setting up your life goals, a great audio book called "personal power" is a great help for quitting addictions and shape your life the way you want.

Im just like you, just started my journey, I havent reach my destination yet, but Im sure with help of God and willpower we will.

    Cheers

Super exicted for this 90 day challenge. I just wanted to mention maybe itd be best to have 3 counters. One for a short term goal, for me that would be a week. One for a mid term goal, for example a month. Then the long term goal, 90days the day we've all been waiting for!!! That way you can keep track, see the progress, and anticipate the finish line!

I have a question. What do you guys do when you start fantisizing? And when u see a nice looking gal in real life and all u can think about is the person's body not them as a person because of all the garbage you've been watching: how do u change this mindset?

My practice might be wiered to you but it works, since my start Im avoiding to look at girls in the streets and malls when it is not neccessary. I believe that is one of the reboot requirement for me.

For fantasizing issue, I read some books on how to control your thinking so Im not thinking about sex at all and I convinced myself that the pain of watching or orgasim is alot more than the pleasure I will have if I do it. I myself am shocked how i didnt feel any urge in the past 25 days.!!

    Hope this helps

    Cheers

    Day 3 is under way.

Challenging because PMO has become a form of stress relief similar to how some ppl bing eat when anxious and/or stress. Even as i am writing this, i am fighting off the demons Bruce-Lee-style. When get really stressed i have usually looked to P to escape. Attempting different methods now to replace PMO as a way of decompressing mentally and emotionally. I am thankful for these forums and my various hobbies that very helpful in achieving my reboot goals.

    Have an excellent day everyone.

Great question. This is also a challenge for me. Sometimes i just avoid looking at attractive ppl the moment i realize my mind is heading that direction. I try to redirect my thoughts, distract my mind in a way. Reading or planning future projects (hobbies) helps. Playing music and really focusing on the lyrics or the instruments works pretty well for me also. The thing is to find something to distract your mind and refocus those thoughts onto something else. Perhaps finding a mantra to repeat can help like a favorite scripture, quote, song lyrics, motivational phrase, etc.

At times it is difficult. But is never impossible.

    Be well.

I have a couple daily meditation books. One is a Christian Book called "Touch Points For Men" another is just "Daily Reflections" . It doesn't have to be Christian but a lot of them tend to have a similar solution. Shop around for one that fits your needs. I will quote what it reads in this book on what it sounds like your talking about. It goes as follows:

"How can I keep my desires from becoming lust?" Matthew 5:28 Anyone who even looks at a woman with lust in his eye has already committed adultery with his heart." "We can prevent lust from taking root in our minds by avoiding the 'second look'."

I'm not that big on Christianity. Mainly because what Matthew states but if your in a spot and your stuck it's a resource. Also what Matthew states might be a good meditation point. One can be like Marc Cohn when he sings 'Walking In Memphis'. The lyrics go something like this, "tell me are you a Christian child. Ma'am I am tonight!" So in my opinion it's okay to take something from Jesus or find what works for you. I do appreciate the solution. The second look is a tough one. If I think a girl is attractive I so want to pass by her and check out her ass.

Overall not taking the second look doesn't seem to completely solve the problem. Women are beautiful and we are guys. So in my humble opinion we have to find a balance between acceptance, control, and behavior. Taking an inventory of this situation before or after the event (when you can think properly) mine yield good results. Behavior is usually easier to change than a thought. There are a few more readings on lust in that book or you can look something up online. I'm sure it's all free now. I just bought the book. Buying a meditation book might be a good solution to avoid getting online.

Let me know if that helps. And if you found a better solution.
