Hello again

"Back again so soon?" I can hear you say. Well yes because I need advice. So yesterday was day 6 in my current attempt and day 6 was harder in terms of urges to relapse and so forth. Well, tonight I think it culminated and I don't know whether its a relapse, reset or the body dealing with it.

I dreamed about sissy porn, Not as a participant or being filmed, but literally sitting with the computer and going wild with it. It was incredibly realistic, when I woke up the first thing I did was check the computers statistics for the last 24hrs and see if it was used, fortunately, it was not. There were no nocturnal emissions. However I feel strangely less wired after that, I feel like the urges are not as intense, and my mind is clearer.

So now I have a problem, did I technically consume porn
yes
Did I technically enjoy it
I think so
Did I realise it was wrong while in the dream
yes

So Is this a relapse, reset or nothing other than a coping mechanism by the brain. I'm hoping its just the addictive neurological nature of the brain to try and show the person images and experiences in their dreams in the hope it increases their cravings of the addictive item.

Thanks in advance

It's an unusual case, and I know people debate about such things, but I am pretty sure the general consensus of the NoFap community is that what happens in your subconscious (i.e when you are sleeping) does not count as a relapse. When you are awake and fully conscious, you have the final say over your actions. But in your subconscious you don't have responsibility (like you say, it's probably a coping mechanism). So no, you didn't relapse. If anything, it's a sign you're doing well. Keep strong!

No. This is nothing of the sort. One: it’s very common to experience this. Two: a slip, relapse...is a CONSCIOUS decision to endulge. I used Copenhagen tobacco for a year or two in college and haven’t had it in 20 years, but I still occasionally dream I’m chewing it. It’s no different than this. Say to yourself “ that was weird” and move on. Remember- at this early stage, you’ve ended “party time” for your brain’s pleasure center. It’s doing what it can to keep that party going if it can. Be on this sight. Be ready for the inevitable urges and Be strong

Yeah I had the same exact thing, dreamt I was doing a sissy activity I had done in real life. It was super realistic. Don't think much of it now, happened like 2 weeks ago. It's your brain saying remember this? It felt good right? Let's do it again." As long as you keep abstaining, your brain will forget about it, and move back to regular sex.

If it happened how you described it then that's not a choice you made but make sure you don't sugarcoat mistakes. The way you beat addiction is by choice but unfortunately, it's also how people stay addicted, by choice.
