I'm in! I'm an upperclass chemistry undergraduate interested in synthetic chemistry. Much of my life has been shutting out my emotions in favor of analyzing situations in a neutral way. I haven't been the best at keeping good relationships with my family or my girlfriend (who I just broke up with since I noticed she wasn't happy). Now I see that I've been missing out on an enormous chunk of life to develop myself, and I think nofap will help me gain more energy inside to show the world how I feel. Day 3 begins now.
2 days completed. I feel like I don't know myself or my true capabilities in life because of this addiction. I hope and pray we can all overcome this together and be the people we were made to be. Will check in again tomorrow. Be safe everyone.
Hey how do I know if I have rebooted though? I've been trying to abstain on and off for almost year, and I feel a lot better than I did back then. I had a terrible deathgrip all this time. So some form of ED is there. I know cause I'm not a hundred percent of what I actually am down there. I think it's time I did kegels, and did them regularly. If it makes this process harder, so be it. Hopefully, I'll end up being a tougher warrior. If you have any input how to go about it accurately, it would be much appreciated.
I have now made it to 16 days PMO free, and I feel so happy. Recently I haven't been feeling great, mainly because I felt weak and vulnerable to triggers. However yesterday and today I have been feeling so much better. I think that during these reboots, we are bound to experience some tough days, but we will also experience some really good days. I believe that even though that we will go through these rough days, we just have to push through, because in the end, we will know that there will be a good day coming up soon. And the more we push through these bad days and fight his addiction, the more good days there will be to enjoy. So just keep pushing through the rough patches guys, and you will soon see the good days come to you. Good luck all!
Yo man, Okay it's cool that you are having hard erections and all but I just want you to know that hard etection could mean that you had a wet dream and possibly have released some semen; no I'm not saying it's a relapse, what I'm saying is, by releasing semen when excessively wet dreams and erections could lead to being clumsy and exhausted during the day. Pro tip: you can eliminate having hard erections and potentially wet dreams by not laying on your chest/stomach when sleeping. Try it once, it works wonders. For better sleeping I recommend laying on your right side. Good luck.
No wet dreams, and I never sleep on my chest/stomach. This is the so-called "morning wood" that suggests reboot is working. Before nofap, we are so desensitized that we do not experience it.
I wonder how to check-in? Is it to write a comment, or just opening the thread? All the best and stay strong! /Baldur
If you have a counter, just write a comment and I'll take the day from your counter. For those that don't have one, write a comment stating the number of full days completed. For example, if you have relapsed in the past 24 hours then you are on 0 days. Once you get to 24 hours, it becomes 1 full day and so on. I would prefer that participants use counters as this tells the number of full days completed.
You will know you are rebooted because your sensitivity will increase, the urges to watch porn will be less, you won't see women as sex toys and see them more as people and how beautiful they are in appearance and personality and your "unit" will start to work as it should with 100% erection quality. Just look at AliveAgains comments. He's over 70 days and just experiencing the best morning wood he's had which shows that the reboot is beginning to take effect. If you must kegel then do so by using normal and reverse kegels to maintain pelvic floor balance and don't put your hands anywhere near your "unit". In my opinion though, kegels aren't needed for you right now. You have ED due to pmo addiction and this will heal in time, it may take 90 days, it may take 180 days or it may take a year but it will heal and I would advise you not to do kegels during the reboot.
