PayPal Pulls Out of Pornhub, Hurting 'Hundreds of Thousands' of Performers Pornhub said it's 'devastated' by PayPal's decision to stop payouts to models on its platform. https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/d3abgv/paypal-pulls-out-of-pornhub-payments Nice work, PayPal!
Much, much respect to PayPal and whoever made this decision. These "sex workers" need to go find real honest work and stop selling their bodies digitally to addicts! This is an amazing read and a major win for nofap!
I'm not really against people making a living anyways they choose, the court of public opinion doesn't really matter. Not even my own opinion, which I think PayPal made the right decision, my view is a Company can do as they like including PayPal. If Pornhub doesn't like the decision they made they can offer there employees or people using their website as a means for income another channel by means of payment PayPal isn't the only game in town. But Kudos to them for making a good choice
I'm conflicted on this. On one hand, I want the porn industry to crash and burn. Really. Fuck MindGeek and the asshole megacorporations behind high speed internet porn. But on the other, I don't believe in monetarily disadvantaging people for political gain. Imagine if a major bank stopped allowing payments involving x industry just because it didn't agree with it. That's super powerful. And if we let PayPal do this to porn - although it seems like a good thing in the short term - it can also happen to anything. It can happen to any industry, or company. Including NoFap. Bottom line is I don't think this should be celebrated. Banks (and I consider PayPal a "bank" of sorts) should be totally impartial. No matter how disgusting the issue at hand, banks shouldn't get involved. We need to stop the porn megacorps by spreading proper information and awareness, not by becoming Celibacy-Fascists.
I hope this is just a snowball which would later develop in a massive avalanche bringing down the entire porn industry and bury it several feet under.
Not so great of a read when you see where this is going (i.e. mean PaylPal discriminating against honest, good-willed sex workers).
It is about female empowerment bro. There is nothing degrading than webcams to the new generation of girls. It is teaching females shortcuts and it should stop.
