Not really. I enjoy having the satisfaction of the fact that I have lot's of peace of mind. I hate it whenever I hear people's personal dilemma or their personal problems in real life. Or their sexual fantasies between their girlfriend or boyfriend. Do I feel depressed about that? Most definitely not. I just attend church on a regular basis and spend lot's of time with mom. And my cat. What can I say? I am happy and fulfilled. Thank you very much. No sarcasm intended.
What you are referring to are CLOSE friends. You can have friends that you wouldn't necessarily lend your car or apartment to.
tbh, it doesn't surprise me...PMO-addiction does terrible things to people's ability to have real & authentic relationships. Still, sad to see eh?
I really only have one good friend, most other people in my life seem to go their own way. I may have typed this in here before but I always think of the saying that goes sometimes you have a friend for a reason, a season, or for life. I'm lucky my one good friend is a friend for life, we bonded while traveling Europe and he's a funny chill dude. So like Bill Murray says, " At least I got that going for me."
I have a mentor . . . he's my only "friend" but not just a friend . . . my best friend . . . the rest are just acquaintances . . .
