if your looking for them as a replacement for porn, saying to yourself there not as bad, then yes your lying to yourself and they are just as destructive to you and your well as porn, yes sir!
yah but watching sexual behaviour that is super stimulus vs just watching girls dancing, I assume there will be a difference?
depends if your just watching them bc there cute and funny or your looking at them as sex objects really paper, just be careful there
Need to avoid!!! They may not be porn but will definitely trigger you. Tiktok especially that new trend where girls r touching their waist and other parts in a song - need to avoid this!
I’ve got sex addiction as well as I believe a lot of these guys on here. It’s hard enough as it is in this world with all the stimulation. The truth is that I can make anything sexual in my brain. With or without porn or stimulation. Anything added causes the intensity to multiply and is very hard to control.
Yeah too much sexual stimulation on tiktok don‘t use it. in instagram every time I see sexual content i click it fast away because this kind of stimulation is very artificial
categorically this might be the case, yes. The problem is, the one usually leads to the other. So even while it may look and seem less harmful, it is generally considered a porn substitute and, as such, just as bad. Many of my relapses started on social media, where through my browsing the inhibitions were lowered further and further until I finally gave in and opened "the real stuff" again. You don't watch girls on tiktok because it's entertaining. You watch it because you're attracted to those girls and would want much more from them than to just see them dance. The addict in you is bypassing your resolution to stop watching porn by making you obsess over watching something similar but less overtly pornographic, yet equally sexually motivated.
I installed TikTok for one week and removed it, yeah the content there is very triggering Instagram has some downside too, you will need to have some self-control if you are willing to keep it,
My advice is to avoid all these apps. They are very triggering. It's better to stay away from them for the time being.
If that's the case, isn't everything triggering nowadays? I just saw an ad, and its bikini hot models. Dojo cat was on TV the other day, isn't all her MTVs near obscene level?
TikTok is 100% bad, at least in my opinion and for me personally. I have deleted this. I have also deleted Instagram, but this is a bit more debatable imo. Instagram can be a nice way to stay in touch with yourfamily and friends, but it easily overdone, and the algorithms will try to mess you up. If you're gonna use Instagram, it should only be for family and friends, and you need to keep very upto date on the discovery tab, to quickly mark things as unwanted, then you should be fine. Personally during the reboot, I have opted to just delete it all. But Instagram I might get back once I feel more stable. I already cleaned my account before I deleted it, so everything should be good.
Yeah everything is triggering. So learn to quit PMO fast, so that it is no longer triggering, then happily go on these apps for as long as you want after. Since you’re an addict to PMO you’ve lost your privileges to go on these triggering apps. Once you’ve rebooted then by all means go on these.
In this case you have to look beyond what the actual content is and ask yourself the reasoning behind why you’re looking at tiktok and other social media platforms. Yeah, looking at a girl in bikini dance on tik too is probably healthier than watching a 20 minute video on a hub site. However, even with tik Tok, you’re still following the same patterns - endless access to women you want, exploiting women and thinking of them as objects, spending more time infront of a screen than going out and taking to real women. Hardcore porn will fuck your brain up more than tik tok, but don’t fool yourself into thinking tik tok won’t fuck up your brain.
If you're watching it specifically for sexual gratification it's not 100% the same, but close enough. Consider it a gateway drug at best.
Your question from two years ago brings up an important discussion about the impact of social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. It's intriguing to reflect on how concerns about content consumption on these platforms can parallel conversations about more explicit content. If you ever found yourself delving into TikTok for different purposes, you might want to explore options like TikTok business accounts for sale.
