Advice on fantasizing

  1. I've been PMO free for 11 days now and so far I was feeling good. However today I was reading the news and there was triggering clickbait which I clicked. It's like a snowball, I start with just one thought of desire and that starts rolling downhill and gaining force. Some minutes later I was fantasizing about sex. I know if I continue with these thoughts, or if I just repress them and try to stop them by force eventually my willpower will fail and will end up relapsing.

    So how do you guys deal with fantasies? How do you avoid thinking about sex?

  3. It's honestly very hard to deal with them...
    I try not to look at girls too much and think of something else, but often I can't.

    I've been dealing with the same shit for a while now. All I can say is that if you continue to fight them and you avoid relapse, they will subside over time. Don't edge, don't peek, don't O, and when those fantasies come around, get up and move. Go on a run or some shit. Doesn't matter if you're trying to fall asleep and you gotta wake up in three hours. Would you rather be tired, or would you rather be set back? Stay strong homie.

    Fight against them. Just outright deny them in your mind, use your willpower and smash them. Distracting and thinking other things work, but when it seems impossible to do that, just smash them with willpower:)

    Same here. Fantasies are my worst enemy in morning day after hard drinking and sometimes urges are like hell.

    It's only problem during weekend when i don't work. Sometimes best way to get rid of it is go from bed direct and do something, shower od similar. It really helps.

    That's a real issue, as you said repressing these thoughts drains your willpower, and in the long run you relapse, I believe getting busy with something can help you get rid of these thoughts. I find myself not abstaining long enough when I'm busy with school and homework and even chess.

    AVOID that News site..... I have given up loads of non-porn sites that had the effect you described.... Look for web places you are sure are safe for you.

    A fellow fapstronaut by the name of @ILoathePorn used a method that his wife, @ILoathePwife, found to deal with fantasies. In his words:

    “I started to have a fantasy that was creeping it's way into my brain and started to push it out, but the more I tried the more I started to think about it, and rather than use my loud voice in my head that shouts STOP IT, I told myself these things:

    -Yes, it would be fun to let this fantasy run it's course
    -Yes, I want to let this fantasy run it's course
    -It is unhealthy to me and my wife to let this fantasy run it's course
    -Even though I want to let the fantasy run it's course, I'm not going to let it
    -Thought about my feelings and maybe a reason why this fantasy was trying to start
    -Told myself that I wasn't going to play the fantasy through

    Lo and behold, that fantasy ceased to try and force it's completion in my head. As a matter of fact, that fantasy has not even tried to start since then. So on another day, another fantasy tried to start. I applied the same tactics to this fantasy and not only did it work again, but I don't even remember what the fantasy is about. Now that I think about it, I don't remember a fantasy even starting since then and that was last week.”

  13. Oh man, I am having the EXACT same problem. I was fine until a while ago I read something about some online webcam thing, and now I cant get it off my mind! I keep feeling like googling it. But if I do, relapsing is imminent.
