Reboot or nothing (please read)

    Hi, I'm new here. Just a psychonaut trying to reboot his brain with the help of Nofap. It was caused by LSD. Since the beginning I know it's dopamine related. I've been told it isn't but come on it's just common sense. Low Libido, Lack of motivation, Being emotionless etc. isn't Anxiety. SSRIs didn't seem to work anyway. My life is going downhill. I'm out of school right now, until I recover anyway. I can't think of anything else than the problem I have. Not being able to enjoy life. I knew about Nofap but enjoyed PMO way too much & didn't have any problems ( before the drug usage ) so I was like '' I'm never doing Nofap, I don't care about those small benefits... I have one life to live and I'm gonna live it the way I want it ''. I would smoke weed every night, try psychedelic drugs, fap 3-5 times a day. After a year or two of doing just that, after that certain LSD trip, something just snapped man. I woke up with depersonalization & other dopamine related issues. I've had it for 3 months now, tried Nofap ( without having an account on this website ) and kept failing after about a day. I don't know if it's getting worse OR it's just a side effect of the SSRI still being in my brain, but I have developed sexual anhodenia too. The orgasms do not have that magic, there's little to no pleasure. Not like a dry orgasm, lots of semen comes out but I can't seem to be amazed with it. I finally got to a 2 days streak yesterday, and was influenced again into edging which ended in relapsing. Something has to change, this cannot keep going. The habit is not even fun anymore, but it reminds me of my past self ( which is what I'm trynna gain back with the reboot ). Medication does not seem to work for me.

    I just want to be able to enjoy music again, to be able to cure anhedonia and depersonalization, get rid of the brain fog and lack of interests. I want a normal dopamine reward system.

    What would be the rules I have to follow in order to recover from low dopamine? -
    What are the golden rules to dopamine recovery with nofap?
    Will rebooting actually cure those things?
    If I accidently end up seeing a sexy image, does it mean total relapse?
    How hard do I have to be on myself?

    While I don't have any knowledge or advice on the effects of psychedelic drugs or treatments for their side effects, I can tell you that quitting pornography and at least masturbation in the early stages of recovery will have a positive impact on your life if you allow it. While some individuals fight over what constitutes a "relapse" or if having sex is "bad", my philosophy is "do what works for you".

    If you discovered you have an addiction to PMO and want to stop it, it is going to take a lot of inner work, reflection, as well as trial and error to find what your formula for recovery looks like. If you still don't know where to start or what goals to set, then just try the classic 90 day NoFap hardmode challenge (no porn, sex, or masturbation) and see what happens. If you find that you can have sex without it negatively affecting your recovery, then go ahead and have sex. If your main goal is to quit porn and you want to keep jacking off, then do that.

    There are no rules, only the ones you set for yourself. Everyone's experience is different, but the only way to know is if you try something first. Just make sure you do your research and make a deliberate decision for yourself.

    3. Yes, research yourbrainonporn.com website and make sure you understand this as well. It's your job to figure that out.
    4. Most likely because "accidents" don't happen in nofap.
    5. There is two ways in which you can do this:

    The easy way:
    -Just do it!
    -willpowaaaah!
    -exercise
    -one streak, I will use all the things I have, and never look back

    And, if you're too intelligent for doing this the easy way, there is the hard way:
    -experiment
    -relapse a lot, learn from it
    -doubt that this will work
    -get even more relapses
    -sometimes lose your hope
    -keep on going
    -Look back once you get good streak, get annihilated by urges
    -And finally, after long years you'll have defeated your urges and this journey will be cake walk... right?o_O



    You're in for a HARD TIME:eek:
