Some people in my life helped me to see that being proud of myself is so much more effective than being disappointed. This is my method of changing...restoring trust, love, and confidence with myself. So everyday I am gonna be proud of myself for 10 things because I sure as hell have spent enough time being disappointed in myself. I would love to see other people's lists of what they're proud of themselves for! 1. I went to all of my classes today. 2. I went to the store to buy candy and decided I don't need candy. 3. I worked on my paper. 4. I made my bed this morning! (I never ever make my bed) 5. I took trash out of my car instead of leaving it in my car. 6. I woke up at like 7:30 and my first class starts at 9 (it takes less than 10 minutes to walk to) 7. I expressed to someone that I was feeling sad instead of burying my emotions. 8. I brought a cup to the dining hall to fill with coffee instead of buying coffee 9. No PMO in a few days! 10. I made this list
1. I woke up at 5:30 today to drive a friend to an acapella rehearsal. 2. I ate 3 meals today. 3. I gave a compliment to someone I passed by. 4. I finished a book on body language that I've been meaning to finish for a while now. 5. I managed to make one of the little kids at the clinic I work at smile. 6. I invited my sister to play a board game with me tonight. 7. I didn't finish my tin of mints! (I can down those things like its no one's business...) 8. I took all the dishes off of my desk and washed them. 9. I told a friend about noFap, it's kinda awkward to talk about in public btw... 10. I ran a good while today for the fun of it.
Hey... I like this idea. I'm gonna write 10 things I did yesterday, as I have still much to do today. (different time zone) 1. I woke up early in order to go to the doctor 2. Even though I got lost on my way there, I didn't panic and managed to easily get back on track. 3. I told the doctor about all of my health problems 4. Earlier I let some parents with a kid to go to the doctor before me even though it was my turn. 5. I realized how amazing it is to know English on a level that enables me to speak it fluently (I'm not a native english speaker) 6. I did my workout even though it was about 12 AM 7. I also took out the trash in the midnight 8. I sent the obligatory exams to my teacher 9. I tanked my mom's car 10. I drived responsibly
Wow, it is incredible how well you write English even though it's not your first language! That is very impressive. Great list.
Today... 1. I went to film club 2. I talked to some people I’d met before but was too scared to approach again 3. I had an assignment due at midnight that I finished at 10 (and I did it better than previous assignments) 4. I went to class today 5. I started working on my paper early this morning 6. No PMO 7. I allowed myself to cry at therapy 8. I went to the store for things I needed 9. I woke up early 10. I did some dancing
Woke up early. Worked out. Trained and walked my dog. Cleaned. Journaled. Read. Played piano. Drew something (haven't done that in years). Wrote this list. No PMO.
1 happy I woke up this morning 2 happy I have breakfast 3 happy no bad news my family is ok 4 happy to be blessed with protection 5 happy I got to workout a little 6 happy for forgiveness when relapse 7 happy to pray 8happy to read bible 9 happy watching tv 10 happy watching movie
I don't know, I'm proud of the little things in life.. - That I woke up in the morning - That I wasn't triggered by Youtube/Facebook/Instagram or any other social media to search for porn - That I started to take control of my emotions - That yesterday I had the courage to speak with this girl (who I find really attractive but she doesn't know) without stuttering or feeling awkward about myself [a huge achievement for me and all thanks to NoFap]
Great thread idea @livingconqueror! We need more daily threads like this that help us keep ourselves in the right mindset. 1. I began the process of getting up earlier and more efficiently. 2. I took care of many household chores I could have put off for another day. 3. I meditated first thing in the morning instead of putting it off. 4. I reinforced my determination to get back to my reboot by engaging with the community on here. 5. I did not waste any time on YouTube today. 6. I was proactive about having good, healthy meals (I often undereat) 7. I got back to writing in my dream journal as I'm trying to get back into lucid dreaming 8. I got outside on a long walk. 9. I cleaned my dirty exercise equipment so I can use it again. 10. I wrote some letters I've been needing to write.
I agree, great idea for a thread. Woke up early. Again. Trained and walked my dog. Read while stretching. (Taking up contortion because why not?) Practiced mirror writing. Played piano; played didgerdoo form the first time in forever. Wrote sheet music. Accepted an invitation to play board games this weekend. (For me a big deal.) Ate healthy. No TV. No PMO. ... It's the little things in life. You, @livingconqueror, are braver than I.
I guess we all have anxiety over different things. Most of the things you listed I assume are activities done alone, which I think is very brave because I really hate being alone.
Yesterday: 1. I turned in my paper. 2. I altered an item of clothing so I could wear it (it has been hanging in my closet for months with me planning on altering it) 3. I said hi to this guy that I've otherwise talked to a couple of times (again, for some reason it's hard for me to talk to people I've met only once or twice) 4. I bought no food 5. I woke up early-ish and met my friend for breakfast 6. I ate all the food I wanted in the dining hall without worrying about what people thought 7. I went to all of my classes 8. No PMO 9. I got my picture taken for the yearbook 10. The school bribes people with cookies to get their picture taken and I took one even though it was awkward to do Today 1. I talked to a girl I didn't know at lunch 2. I did my laundry 3. I washed my sheets and made my bed 4. I participated in class 5. No PMO 6. I talked to my dad on the phone (basically my biggest fear) 7. I organized my finances 8. I wrote in my journal 9. I told my boyfriend I was upset with something he did (I usually only do this if he is also angry, but today he was happy and I still told him) 10. I caught up on my reading in one of my classes
Proud eagles win super bowl I got to see the parade I ate food today No harm happened to me God forgot my son and covered me Didn't stress about life Didn't have to work today Feed. My dog Bought food Went on NoFap Didn't binge after relapse p
Not bingeing after relapse I feel is harder than not relapsing. Its so easy to think "I already broke so I may as well go full speed ahead" but it is the worst feeling ever. So good job! That's awesome and definitely something to be proud of
1. I haven't relapsed today or in 18 days, or since I joined NoFap 15 days ago. 2. I got on this forum for motivation instead of relapsing today. 3. I did my 15 assisted pushups today. 4. I'm actively working towards being a better person. 5. I didn't sleep in past 7 today. 6. I care about my grades and learning in my physics class at school. 7. I brushed my teeth and flossed this morning. 8. I brushed my teeth with the toothbrush on vibrate because I know it's good for me, even though I don't like the feeling. 9. I showered today. 10. I just drank some water, which is good for me. I also haven't eaten any sweets since I started my no sweets challenge.
Nice job! I'm sure talking to the girl must have taken alot of courage, props to you for being able to do it!
