i came on here to see if I could get some advice and hear other peoples experience of rebooting, I kept planning to start but never seemed to get around to it and now I really don't think I could. I've got too higher sex drive and know I can't fight the urges and I managed to quit smoking after 16 years in one day.
I know I'd ache to the point of pain as I do after the longest I've managed ( about 3 days)
Hats off to those on here who've managed some insane length of time.
I know I wouldn't manage it at all.

  2. First things first u need to identify the reasons to why u want to stop, and then that may help give u some inspiration on getting started again

The last two posts are on point, but I'll add.

1st: Stop saying you can't. If you believe you can't do this you won't. Plain and simple.
2nd: You quit smoking in a day?! That's AMAZING. You can do this.
3rd: Write your reasons down and review review review. You'll be OK.

You cant or wont stop? Huge difference between the two. No, im not trying to belittle you or be a smart ass. I have kniwn some that say they cant put the bottle down, truth was they wouldnt/didnt want to put it down. Addictions are tricky little bastards. They will talk you into lying to yourself and saying you cant do something when you simply dont want to.

You're kind of right in as much as I didn't 'want' to stop inhaling nicotine but knew I should and it was necessary.
I know I'd physically ache if I didn't get regular relief and I'd end up spurting involuntarily before long. I know addiction is tough but it's not just a matter of will power for me in this matter.

Explain what you men by its not just a matter of will power. Is someone forcing you to PMO? We have the power to ake those decissions. That does involve identifying the triggers, coping with the stresses of life, finding different outlets and at the end of the day being responsible for our actions.
