People say that this bad days will pass. WHEN?

    Now feels like it will last a long time.. I'm in day seven now and I have been strong all this days.. Today not so good. I knrw this day was going to come . And now it's here.. Knowing that was coming dosent really make it any easier.. Some people have got over this and now are clean. Some of then for many many months. I want that for me too.. Please! How can I get over this.. Usually what has happen in the pass is that dosent goes away. Actually the desire keeps growing even bigger to the point that I can take it any longer and I can't even think straight any more so I (M) . Tell me what to do if you know how. And why is my brain torturing me tgus way

    my friend try to get your mind full of other things. Listen Music, Read, talk with other people, take sun, feel the wind. Its hard very hard, you fell like you can lose your mind. Find yourself, or try to find yourself. Stay away from internet away from any triggers. It helps a lot to talk. Never, Never give up.

    I'm trying my friend.. I don't want to fail. Yesterday I was so happy. I want this to go away. How many days usually last this strong urges.?

    There's no set time, you just need to always fight and make progress. Im on day 50 now and from days 25-47 the urges weren't that bad but now they are. People who have been clean for over 100 days have urges.

    Just never stop the fight, if you do end up relapsing at some point don't best yourself up over it and there for weaken yourself, just keep going and ovet time things get better. From February to the end of april I was screwing up over and over, couldn't even get 2 weeks and now im here.

    As for directly fighting urges, Music, Cold showers, reading and meditation.

    Make a find music that helps you during urges and make a playlist, anytime u find a song that'll help add it. As soon as you feel the urge coming go listen to it.

    Cold showers, plain and simple, just take a cold shower. It can be hard at 1st so maybe try to ease it, start on hot then lower it bit by bit. This'll take time to get used to but you definitely want to try to get used to it.

    Reading. If u find a post on here that helps with urges because u can relate or its inspirational or something then bookmark it and go to it when u need it.

    Also (and this might take some time to build up) make notes or a list for yourself to read when you get an urge. Write reasons why u want to stay clean, how It's effecting your life, the people who would be ashamed of you for screwing up, the ways that things will get better if u stay clean etc

    Lastly meditation, also plain and simple. Just get into meditating and do it regularly.

    Remember its all about progress.
    DO NOT rip yourself apart for messing up, figure out what went wrong, try to improve and you'll do bettet next time.

    You're replay is absolutely very helpful!! And I thank you for it. I'm happy to say that I'm still here. And I'm saying clean. Surprise Lily today I haven't had any strong or juice I just finish work out and took a cold shower and I'm starting to read very helpful post like yours. I'm feeling real good today I've been praying a lot to my God and I'm very optimistic, I got a strong feeling that this time will be different. at the same time being realistic there is the possibility of relapses but I do feel very different this time. How you been doing friend
