Lost my way

    So i've had 79 and 35 day streaks in the past and been doing NoFap for 2 years. For the last months i've been having 1 week streaks.

    I'm not sure why i can't come up twith the incentive to have those long streaks again so i'm going to approach it as if i'm just starting out.

    So considering that, does anyone have some books, webpages or advice that would good for me to use for restarting my reboot?

    To beat one addiction you need another one, keep yourself focused on goals. What do you enjoy doing bro? Reading? Watching Films? Sports? GYM? Shopping?

    It’s critical to replace your PMO addiction with something else to take the place of it, preferably something that is beneficial to your overall improvement. For me it was exercise. I usually would fap at night (not always) after dinner for an hour or two before going to sleep and most of the time I’d end up ejaculating three or four times in that amount of time. Now I’ve replaced that activity with cardio. Every evening I walk for an hour or go for a run. It helps clear my head and improve both my mental health and physical health and by the time I get back and shower I’m too tired to mastrubate and I end up going to bed instead. This is merely an example. But it is important to fill the time you used to make available for fapping with something that’s actually fulfilling. Find a goal you want to work towards, use that time to work on your hobbies, or even socialize with others. Any one of those options is a vast improvement over PMOing.

    Well it's not anymore a habit of mine. It's just when i'm studying or when i'm struggling with a task like arranging a song for the guitar, then the thought of porn pops into my head because of the instant gratification. I'm not sure how I can avoid acting on it if i can't really switch tasks

    Dude, when I get urges or cravings like that, I immediately step outside with my dog and either just stand in the front of my house or go for a drive. I will stay out until the urge is gone. It works for me.

    I used to do things like that too, now it seems like my mental strength decreased to the point where I easily give in to urges. I did somewhat quit smoking(now I only do it at a party so once in two weeks). Maybe that has a influence considering it also is instant gratification.

    When I'm studying and get urges I try to just continue studying, however that doesn't always work. Do you know of any fast way for the urges to subside so I don't lose like half an hour of studytime in total?

    Never give up, all of us came from that relapsing, just go again if you relapsed go again, that's addiction, good luck my man, I wish to hear your future updates about that, STAY STRONG!!!
     
  8. those 7th days is when you really have to watch out and put more effort into abstaining. for me its every sunday the urges get more than usual. just be aware. psychocybernetics and release your breaks are good books
