Hey guys, it's been a while since I last checked into the forums, but I have some good news regarding reboot. I abstained from PMO for about a month and once I relapsed (today) it was really hard to actually PMO, believe it or not.

    What helped me the most?

Getting a damn job that gave me several hours to be busy under a contract, that forced me to be busy with something while compensating me for my time. Also, it took a great deal of self-discipline to prevent me from activating certain triggers (websites, excuses, etc.). But, after you get those two in line, you don't even want to MO because for me, it robs me of the energy that I need to stay productive with the things that I really care about or the energy that I need to work. Stay busy and keep moving forward!

Very good! You learn from your relapses. That is a good rule for everyone on this board that relapses. Now you know how to control it from happening again.

Don’t do it and stay strong. Just have other activities lined up for yourself and you will get over the addiction...

Thanks. I've been seeing many different outputs on the subject of nofap, most recently it has been from people who don't agree with the movement/ideology. It has helped me think about what I originally came here for when I wanted my energy to be used for things that would improve me and not hold me back. And that is exactly why I came to try nofap for - to reserve my energy for things that are more important to me (hobbies, going out, doing general things without fatigue). But as time went on and I thought more and more about what I wanted out of this whole thing, it turns out that we all just have some sort of health condition/self-discipline issue that needs to be addressed first. In a sense, the act of PMO isn't necessarily bad in moderation when the body can replenish itself and there are no health problems caused by it. It is only bad because it can be highly addictive like any other addictive drug (though on a lesser scale). It's also easier to get addicted when you don't have active goals, are depressed, have direction where your priorities are leading you towards, aren't very attractive (but desire attractive mates), etc. But, all of which can be improved upon to reduce this catalyst towards addictive PMO to where it causes problems (like ED, chronic fatigue, more depression, etc.). Otherwise, I try not to get too caught up in the numbers game (day-counter), that can be detrimental when discouraged to maintain a "high day count". Good luck in your endeavors too.
