not quitting

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Mar 23, 2019.

  1. So over the past couple days my life has been shit honestly, i made a commitment to quit this site because of broken promises and things have only gotten worse, so i am not quitting after all. Now that i think of it my nofap journey actually started succeeding once i joined this website, i have relapsed about 7 times the past couple days, my depression is back, my low self esteem, and all that motivation i had is gone now, i really messed up... So i hope you guys will welcome me back, i really am a fool who cant do anything he says he will, but i am ready to get things back on track, and resume my journey towards my warm future, and become the true me.

  4. Welcome back.

One thing this site does for me is show me examples of people who get back up over and over again and keep trying.

Also there are the year plus people that prove to us it can do done if we persist. But even then they can’t let their guard down.

I’ve felt like throwing in the towel several times. But I don’t because I think of people like you who keep getting right back up. You’re a fighter and an example of perseverance. Keep up the fight to shake this nasty habit of porn addiction.

I stumbled on this site ytd, sort of browsed through the site and guidelines. As you used the word 'quit' couple times, I wanna share with you that I found the ' rebooting' idea more approachable. I am more confident to make it than ever before.

I never can restrain from fapping for more than 6 days. Not a successful example...just sharing. Wish you Good luck!

You’re not a fool. Don’t beat yourself up. I do the same thing after relapsing. I try to retrace my steps to figure out “why the hell did I do that??” I never have a logical reason. Just get back up and learn from it. The key is to not submit the the psubs and triggers not one inch or it’ll just pull you down all the way.

Hi brother, glad to see you back here. Hope you get soon on track. Now, I think I am doing a little better than before, at this staying out of this cycle for a while and I have already beaten my earlier streak this time around. There are some stuff that helped me reach here. They were nothing but questions I asked myself, and more importantly, the honest answers I gave to myself for them. If they were of any help to you at all, This is what I asked myself :

Where do I see myself going with all of this fog, in my life ?
Where would all of this dumb shit take me to ?
Why am I coming back to this ? (For example: I was always so bored, so I kept coming back to Porn due to the dopamine rush it gave me)
Is it really worth watching ?
Why am I quitting ? How is it going to benefit me ?
Am I really determined to quit it once and for all right now, exactly at this trial ?
because, you have already been (infact everyone here have been) doing a lot of short trials, like keeping yourself out for, say 5 days, a week ? I mean that's actually so good, but it is not enough. When people come over to this website, they are actually coming to quit this once and for all, and when they figure out that just like building up any other skill, this requires patience and consistent work, they start becoming a little bit relieved of the stress that they had before they decided to come here. Now, we all after doing it for a while ( The cycle of "Abstain-Watch-Fap-Repeat" ) we are okay with that cycle, that has become our new normal grade now. Your periods of abstaining from PMO would increase, now this is where most of us are just stopping. We haven't accomplished our Mission. We haven't done what we came looking for ! We came here to quit this once and for all. So, let's not make up excuses and try to work up our levels.
I would not say it would be easy, but, Things worthy of greatness don't come up to us easily. There might be mighty triggers, deadly woods, but remember, anything that's standing between you and your success is an obstacle. Break it out, climb to the top. Make it up the summit. Always remember, I am here to help you and everyone else out here, just like the others are, for we are here to support each other. Feel free to PM, me if at all you feel like talking, Don't worry at all. You will surely make it to the top.

Now, I have posted something about this "levelling up" here , read it if you're interested.

Wish you good luck, be strong, be cool, and be yourself for you are BravelyKegger. CHEERS, :)

  12. thank you, and when i say quit i was never referring to my nofap journey, just this website.
