Why you will never be happy

Discussion in 'Self Improvement' started by Deleted Account, Mar 29, 2019.

  1. So you think quitting porn alone will make your life better?, if you believe that than you are a fool. Along my nofap journey i realized some things, i have failed a lot but i have also learned a lot, allow me to share a list of things you must also quit to succeed.
    1. your pmo addiction
    2. your junk food, processed food, processed sugar addiction
    3. your internet addiction
    4. your gaming addiction
    5. your drug addiction
    6. your laziness addiciton
    7. your pleasure addicion
It sucks but if you do not take care of every addiction than you are doing nothing for yourself, this list is short but you get the point. Also what are you doing to better yourself?, are you running, eating good, trying to better yourself, making new friends and being social, exercising, starting good habits is just as important as quitting bad habits.

  2. It's not just about quitting, it's also about starting. You have to start doing more productive things like finding a new hobby, create healthy habits, make new friends, etc. If you just quit all the bad things alone, you will just be completely empty.

  3. i agree, i need to add that.

Dont dwell on your failure or shortcomings or spnd more than one second learning from regret. Enjoy the victory you have now. You can be happy now. Im happy for you opening up and seeking help. If you keep facing this way even if you fail and fail again yet we will be here for you. And will help you. You have made all the difference of life and death for yourself by trying. you can celebrate this instead of sulking.

Hope this helps. i know you have helped me.

What you wrote is very true indeed! You have to not only quit PMO in order to feel happy, content and fulfilled in life, you also have to discard all your former bad and time-wasting habits and then replace them with more productive and fulfilling ones. One of the hardest but most rewarding habits to acquire and develop during your reboot is that of mental (conscious) and subconscious mastery.
This means not reacting to any outward circumstances, events or crap that is thrown at you at any time. This takes a lot of practice, patience and persistence but feels so rewarding when you just start to grasp it a little bit.

  6. Great post. This is so very true. There really is no mystery how to be happy, but it doesn't come cheap. It takes tremendous amounts of effort to make your life truly effortless.
Or as someone in this forum once said: Easy choices - hard life. Hard choices - Easy life.

  7. I agree you should take time, but some things you can tackle with others at once.

  8. at once meaning you can start right away, like a pmo addiction can be fought along side a junk food addiction, or a drug addiction, i know this to be true because i quit all of those at the same time, ofcourse i am still rebooting from pmo however.
