    Hey,

    Has anyone experienced heart palpitation and sudden anxiety during reboot?

    Though mine usually happens (sometimes) after excercise and it goes away after like 2 minutes.
    Also when i drink alchohol too much.

    Is it somehow related to the reboot process?

    Also for the last two days I've been subconciously getting arousal thoughts in my brain and would get sudden feelings that i wanted to cry

    Please let me know if these are normal or not

    Yes I have. I have had instances where my heart rate would increase randomly and I could feel it. Also sometimes slight shortness or breath. Or maybe I would word it as “shallow breaths”. Like I try to catch a deep breath and can’t? Also have had some instances Almost where it has felt like my heart skipped a Beat. Like the feeling you get when your adrenaline hits kinda. It can be scary. If your worried get checked out at the doctor. I had a ekg and xrays done and had to wear a heart monitor for 48 hours a couple years ago cuz of this, that’s when I tried stopping PMO, and they found nothing. I still worry about it now sometimes, cuz it’s not all the time. Hoping it stops for good soon. I need to stop relapsing.

    Hi, yep I get heart palpitations regularly. I've mentioned this in the thread on physical symptoms, if this is of interest: https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?t...-sexual-exhaustion.252026/page-2#post-2265054

    I've also had an ekg, and it did show a problem with the electrical activity in my heart. In itself it's not something that I worry about too much. It is a symptom of the general state of my health, and comes and goes along with all the other symptoms I have. Just take it as a sign that you need to quit PMO!

    In terms of anxiety, I think this is something that we all go through, so again I wouldn't worry about it too much. That's not to dismiss what you're experiencing, but psychological issues are also part of the journey. Personally I find this easier to deal with by seeing them as part of the addiction, rather than being a part of the "real / normal" me.

    Yep, i quit PMO 2 weeks ago, and still counting. Ive been doing PMO for almost 5 years unfortunately, all my teen years pretty much sadly. But all that aside i did feel heavy palpitation sometimes, and not exactly after porn or working out. It was just random, lets say... watching a movie, laying down or something. I would get them in those circumstances, i started to realize it was because of PMO. But yes it is definitely PMO no doubt. After 2 weeks now of no PMO i havnt had any heavy heart palpitations, im guessing is a sign that is working.

    I also experience this and it seems to be getting better since I quitted PMO, slowly but consistently. It has to do with anxiety.

    I started young as well. But look here. I’m 31, started at prolly 12 or so. Before I could ejaculate. So I’ve spent more of my life doing it than I have been alive. I have quit, or tried to wait for the last 2 years. I have done it far less than I used to obviously. Highest streak being 204 days.

    But I find it interesting you had heart palps on PMO. I never had any issues physically. Just mentally like fatigue, depression, no self worth and such. The physical symptoms and crazy stress and anxiety along with heart palps started when I started nofap. Certainly it’s probably related to the withdrawls and higher anxiety and stress levels. I have mood swings randomly so easy. I used to be so easy going, or I normally am? Not when I’m going through withdrawls tho.

    So you are saying there is a connection between this and PMO?

    In my case I think it is down to muscle function rather than anxiety, because the heart is made of muscle, and the way that palpitations come on seems to be in response to excessive load on the heart; likewise, I tend to get muscle twitches after using a particular part of the body heavily (although many twitches for me are quite random as well). But we are all affected in different ways.

    Had that in the middle of the night. Not sure if it was from a dream or what, but it was lasting 20 or 30 minutes.

    Let me tell you the true àbout reboot,during the rebooting phase ,you will undergo different trials just for you to mastubate again and one of the main trial is anxiety (heart beating fast ).I struggle with that last week ago .

    Try to abstain from the following items (which cause palpitations):

    * Alcohol
    * Tobacco
    * Caffeine
    * Marijuana (smoked)
    * Excessive sugar

    How are you doing now? I’m sorry for your issues. And I can very much relate.
