I'm currently reading black clover, not as good as other manga but still entertaining. A good one that also popped up: Holyland.
One-Punch Man Sword Art Online Inuyasha Death Note Noragami Toradora! The Devil Was A Part-timer Kimi ni Todoke Made in Abyss
I like the art style of anime, but I normally cant stand to watch it. Most anime (in my own opinion) is too weird, too cheesy, has little about it that actually makes sense, or has all 3 of these problems at the same time. That's just my opinion I guess. HOWEVER there was one anime that I really enjoyed called .Hack//Sign and that was quite good. A character driven story with very little fighting or sexual themes, and a relatively believable story with memorable characters. I enjoyed it quite a lot. Sword Art Online (only the first half of season 1) was pretty okay as well. Not too bad at all, all things considered.
Guys, I'm seriously thinking about destroying my anime collection. I don't have anything R rated. But animes are such a huge dopamine release media. Even when they don't feature ultra sexy girls (not that often) the action is so intense I can feel the dopamine release frying my brain. I'm watching Danmachi right now and goddamn this is outrageous. Anybody relates? I don't want to stop watching. But I feel like I have to, for my sake.
I've never thought of television as a dopamine rush. For sure though it's not a great habit and it would be healthier and a much better use of time to stop watching television. You could try reading Manga, lol. I prefer reading the Manga over watching Anime.
K-ON!, of course. Spoiler: Nothing explicit, but there are cute anime girls wearing skirts, so... I see no problem at all in watching, if you're just doing it for 2 hours a day, maybe 3. It's not screwing your brain like porn. For example, I started watching in 2013. Around 2016, I was so annoyed that I just stopped, literally couldn't stand a single minute, and I'm only recovering my "passion" now, almost three years later. The real problem is to watch as escapism from your problems, otherwise you're fine. It would be better to put this time into a hobby, but at the end of the day we're all humans, a bit of entertainment won't kill, and there's no such thing as time wasted too, we don't need to be productive 100% of the time.
I'd have to say Yu Yu Hakusho. I think the strongest aspect from it is the characters and how the main 4 develop their friendship. It's not really oversaturated with a ton of useless characters which help the ones that are in it by giving them meaningful moments and fights that actually matter. The dark tournament is also probably the best tournament arc I've seen in any anime.
I'm not too familiar with the anime but unfortunately, some of these shows don't hold back on the fanservice which can be a real pain in the ass. Triggers will always be triggers but I want to get to the point where I can control myself while being exposed to this stuff. That will take some time though haha.
I really loved this thread, so let talk about anime as a whole. So what is the anime of the year for y’all? Vinland saga is the one for me. The story is too good and also keep getting interesting every week. Also knowing that most of the story is history-based make me like it more. Kimetsu no yaiba is good but overhyped .
