Oh my God, I am so relieved to hear this. I had such a crappy day at work today as usual. My boss has actually started sympathizing with me now. Earlier, I used to confront him a lot regarding things that I thought were not right but nowadays I just do whatever he says because I just can't freaking talk anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously get anxiety attack within seconds and lose my voice if I start any debate with him so yeah. Things are pretty bad. Its just so relieving to hear that there is light at the end of tunnel. I wonder how long the tunnel is...

Also, do you think that you did anything specific or its just natural healing with time?

seems to be natural healing with time but my healthy habits include
no sugar, gluten or dairy I focus on a very high quality diet everyday,
I don’t drink alcohol, smoke or do any drugs
I go to the gym 5-6 days a week,
I get quality sleep 7 hours per night and go to sleep most nights before 12 unless I go out,
I stay away from social media and mindless website searching as well as videogames and minimizing tv.
    I meditate 10-15 minutes everyday

I stay away from all negative instant gratification for the most part at least as much as I can unless it has benefits for my goals.

Will taking an antidepressant will make this easier ... and tapering it off after a year or so .... this is the last resort of course. Does anyone have an idea about that?

  4. Try to have a girlfriend, romance will help you rewire your brain. Do some intentive training like sprinting or swimming. And drink some alcohol from time to time (yes it helps).

Your intentions are sincere but for many alcohol is not a good idea. It fuels lust and the hangover often leads to PMO (to try to make yourself feel better).

This has been my experience but I suppose different people react in different ways. I would still recommend that people don't though.

Great stuff, quite similar to me. I've just started getting up at 5:30 and I really enjoy it. Did you find you were naturally drawn to healthier, more disciplined habits once you stopped porn?

I actually was naturally drawn to healthy habits because of all the negative symptoms PMO put in my life that I didn’t realize came from PMO, so I became the healthiest version of myself until I found the reason for my symptoms. PORN was the last to go because I thought PMO was healthy.

Alcohal is the last thing you wanna do during reboot. It's addiction in itself to begin with. Your relapse chances are very very high after alco
MAN, I am nearing 300 days and still going through withdrawals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD!...... I will prevail!!!!!!!!!!!! You are still doing good??

Yea I’m still doing good haven’t had a bad day in 10 days. There is a little bit of brain fog but nothing like it’s been, my motivation, energy, and libido have been great so far just to name a few things. Before I started this current 10 day good streak I was in my longest consistent withdrawal streak since I started nofap.

Man, just came back from work, another crappy day. Ongoing withdrawals. Anyways, can you share a little bit of your history so I can compare it with mine? Like at what age you started on high speed internet porn and how many years? How long your PMO session used to be and the frequency?

  12. You're near of the finish line man if you have a good 10 days straight without any withdrawals.

Started on high speed internet porn around the age of 18 used for about 14 years I’d say about half those years for me using heavy the other 7 years were me using 1-4 times a week. My sessions were usually under 10 minutes.

During this streak I have a strong urge to be productive and not waste time so I’m going to get off this message board for now I’ll check in later.

I hope so but this journey has made me learn that even when you think your almost out your not.

But what I can say is different about this time is yes my good streak is my longest so far and my libido is the best it’s ever been in a very long time. I was very horny the last few nights and the thought of using PORN was not desired at all I just wanted real sex.

Yes, that's it mate. You are around half way so keep going.

  15. It's based on a few hardcore rebooters who went through PAWS. Since mine has started I've never had a full day without anything related to paws. I have had a few good hours in a day then returned back n forth or pure hell.

  16. Pretty much the same here, dropped tons of weight, no alcohol or drugs, having a healthy diet without sugar or sodas and everything. Still felt like crap, but after numerous tests, only abstaining from PMO has worked for me over the years. I also think that despite of having a healthy lifestyle, only time and abstaining will actually heal the brain. Everything else is just finetuning the withdrawals a tad bit for the day or part of the day until the next day they start from the scratch. But overall, even though all of these changes feel subtle, e.g. I can read a couple of pages more in one sitting or walk longer distances in nature, the brain is undergoing a massive change, far exceeding our understanding of it.

I wish I had known all of this sooner because when the wall hits, it hits hard. Only when a person gets sick, is when he/she understands the value of being healthy.

    Just checking in to say exact same boat;

12 months here and still going through withdrawals.. its much better but still social anxiety which can be bad some days, and wierd brian pressure and fog.

My main concern is that when I get sexual fantasy they go really extreme and shocking..probably for my brain to get as much dopamine as possible... but it really fucks me up for a week or so, and all symptoms return.

Id say it’s been high to moderate cravings for real women these days, I can say real life women are a much bigger priority in my life even though I am abstaining from real sex too for a longer period of time just incase.

What is your longest streak of consistent good days during the past 12 months, and where in that journey was that? Also what was your longest streak of consistent good days in the last 3 months?
