  3. Day 2/7

    Yep, here here!

Far out that's a lot of challenges. I like that it's a combination of a bunch of things: mental exercise, physical exercise, eliminating triggers, creating routine. Let us know how you go!

Same same - would be interested to hear your scheduling tips.

    Boredom - yep, dangerous.

    Day 5. Easy day.
Slept today a lot, hot/cold shower, had intensive working, then met with girl (no sex).

Oh I see! When you're a fan: you're a fan for life ahahaha. What are your favorite TV series/movies?

Oh man, the big question… I have so many... but one that stands in my heart is Neon Genesis Evangelion: it starts with giant creatures which are attacking tokyo-3 and a little boy named Shinji must pilot giant robots called "Evangelions", or Evas because kids are the only person who can pilot them. It looks like an habitual mecha anime with fights and everything, but things start to fall apart during the course of the 26 episodes. It becomes raw, it becomes hard to follow sometimes because of the characters development and it becomes more like an existential anime… which makes it so much brilliant! I recommend it so much, it is on Netflix right now! Plus, if you liked it, but the ending you hated it: they made an alternative ending called "The End Of Evangelion", which slaps you in the face at giga speed --> I recommend the dub

However, for those who wanders, nudity is sometimes shown and in a context of nofap challenge: one must be prepared to face triggers.

Second one: Samurai Champloo, mix of japan's samurai and hip-hop style: a roller-coaster of emotions my friend, it is a must in the anime domain. The 26 episodes were available free on YouTube, but they're not anymore. Some people, however, made them available for "x" reason, so enjoy while you can :D

    Day 4 check in.

Didn't practise enough discipline this morning before my workout and became complacent, nearly cost me my streak. I'm still on the path however and I now know I need to reinvigorate my morning routine. The first change I have made to my morning routine is taking cold showers.

I must admit that I'm still in the process of learning myself. Nevertheless, I have a handful of insights that may prove helpful.

    1. Schedule pleasant activities as well as difficult ones, if you give yourself something to look forward too it's much easier to stick to a schedule

    2. Schedule the most important things first. I know this seems like common sense but I find that I'm often tempted to schedule my day with a more chronological approach (as in I start my schedule by filling out what I do on Monday first, followed by Tuesday etc). I have found that scheduling important activities first actually means you get more out of the same amount of time. There is a good video on the art on manliness youtube channel that details how to do this in a very helpful visual manner:

    .

I personally find it best to schedule for a week in advance and make necessary adjustments if necessary.

    3. Extra time. This will depend highly on individual circumstances but I find that I still need to leave some extra time free at the end of the day to accommodate for overruns and unforeseen events. There is an alternative approach called 'time blocking' in which you leave no free space but instead schedule every activity in your day. This may work for people living on there own or who are in the middle of a serious time consuming project. I used an approach like this while studying for the bar exam and it seemed to work well. I'm still not certain of it's workable or desirable for most people in the long run, but it's definitely an effective approach in the short term.

    4. The ability to say no. I'm convinced that hyper-agreeableness is just as much a factor in having a difficulty keeping a schedule as low conscientiousness. If we really want to maximise our time we have to be willing to say no both to ourselves and to others. Time is precious and we will not be able to use it effectively if we acquiesce to every request. I'm not saying to become a 'hard ass' but rather adequately value our time.

Keep in mind point 1, it's essential that we have time for 'non work' actives. If we can control our time we actually have more time for some of life's best activities (such as hanging out with friends/family, reading, exercising etc) as we will have eliminated wasted time.

    5. Practice. Nothing beats action. Learning to schedule like any activity is mostly a matter of repeated failure before eventual success.

Again, I am still in the process of trying to master all of this so take my advice with a grain of salt. If you guys have any criticisms or observations let me know. I'm also interested in hearing what advice you guys have so please send on any tips!

Awesome man! Have you considered employing the Wim Hof breathing technique in conjunction with cold showers? It seems to have a variety of health and mental benefits. I did it during January and February and found it an immensely beneficial exercise. I also had a 116 day streak at the same time, so its possible that it may assist in breaking addiction. I sadly fell out of practice at the beginning of the covid-19 lock-down but have resumed practising it this morning. It's definitely worth taking a look at even for curiosity's sake.

  11. No, I haven't really put the Wim Hof method to use but I have heard of it. It's time to try it cause the cold showers are no joke. I have to spend quite an amount of time to just build up the willpower to get into the shower and I spend less than 2-minutes showering or lest I freeze over..hehe. Thanks!

Day 35 check in. About to meet a girl and enjoy time with her without sexual pulsion and just being here for fun, I'll see how it goes and enjoy it.

  16. Cheers, this is some basic but useful stuff. I just watched the Big Rocks video too. Nice :)

I stuffed up today. I can't seem to get going at the moment, so I'm doing a couple of things:
    - I've moved the phone charger and phone away from the bed, so that I'm not tempted to peek (which is what started this one). Plus I'll be less inclined to lay in bed wasting time, first or last thing of the day. I've dug up my battery alarm clock (which will probably annoy housemates more than a phone alarm :p).
    - I'm going to leave the Mando Challenge and do smaller ones until I can get to a week of no PMO at least. Will be back soon NoFap legends. Best wishes on your journeys! :emoji_wave:

    congrats for the rank bro

for anime currently Kimetsu No yaiba. they won 2019 top anime of the year from chrunchyroll and i waited for the release on their movie also

i knew eva genesis and Samurai champlo but not watched it yet. maybe when my project is done will have some of it next time

if u like combination of east and west i suggest u see one of a classic anime "Great Teacher Onizuka" the stories about Onizuka ex Gangsta become a teacher and handle naughty kid's. its comedy and its had a trigger but since its classic anime its sure have a lot of motivation and inspiration for the viewers

thank you for sharing...i will need some deep reading and understanding of it tho.

    *emerges from battleworn slumber*

Sorry for the Radio silence guys. I have to admit I lost the Helmet. It took me a while to regain my will to face up to you all. I humbly remove myself from the Helmet list but will continue to earn my armor and live the life of a Mando. I relapsed at Day 142 and am now back to day 1 sadly to say. Holleyman is Top Mando unless I missed something during my crash.

I had to go to the hospital for a hydrocele that I thought was a hernia and have been quarantined by myself in a tent in the backyard to keep the family safe. I gave in at first to daydreaming of making love to my wife. A few days later it spiraled out of control and I must admit I gave in to M thinking of my wife, and once only of P of women who have my wife’s features. I’m not saying that it excuses it, but that is my weakness and I must acknowledge it and keep from falling to it in the future.

I’m not going to give up or give in. This is the way
