Are super powers real or just crap clickbait from youtube?
What should i expect in the next few weeks, i am totally pragmatic upon this subject, all i see are symptons and long term damage and recovery, i know for sure that 3 months dont heal 15 years of heavy masturbation. I am 31, what should i expect besides the symptons, something plausible to cheer me up on this reboot.
I am on anxiety medication so, symptons get might get confused...
I dearly wish some health related fapastrounat could give me an insight. I am a dentist but i know nothing about brain physiollogy

I am 32 years old, earlier in the year i went two months and only noticed a few little subtle benefits mainly on the social side of things. It does help with energy and confidence but for me it wasnt a huge turnaround... i only went two months though, it seems most dont experience major benefits til they hit the 100 day mark or so. But everyone is different. in the early days i did experience some bad symptoms, mainly mental ones. Porn and fapping is a way of numbing your pain so when you are quitting those negative feelings inside will start to come out and you are forced to deal with them head on. Abstaining could help you do something about the areas of life you are unhappy with, unfortunately for me i didnt abstain long enough. But i am trying again.

If you want to experience the major benefits it probably has to be a very long streak. Good luck in your journey.

Superpowers cop a lot of flack. But essentially they're just our normal abilities, be it physical, mental, or emotional, that return once we get back to our 'normal' selves.

When I was at my worst, I watched porn many hours daily, then played video games. This resulted in social anxiety where I couldn't look a cashier in the eye... And I wasn't able to put weight on or improve my strength whatsoever.

NoFap usually comes with a healthier lifestyle. Not just because of less energy wasted, but because often people will find they need to keep a relatively healthy routine in order to speed up recovery and alleviate withdrawals.

Comparing myself to how I was a few years ago, it feels like superpowers in a sense. But really, it's just how I could have been had I not had an addiction.

I guess it depends how far one has fallen, to imagine how much one has to gain. Hence why some people think NoFap is the new religion, and others think it just helped them think a bit clearer in the morning and have better intimacy with their partner...

Day 1- 10 - irritation, brain fog, anger, burning sensation, sound sensitivity, not clear thinking, anxiety

Day10- 20- hornyness, bursting of energy,
    Thinking trouble, irritation, anger

Day 20- 30--- mood swings, anxiety

Day30-40---will experience minimization of all above things.....this minization experiencing is also imp.

Day40-50--- start observing benefits from nofap.....

Day50-60-- start building small steps to better self....

  5. Yes, there are quite real. I'll tell you the benefits I experienced first, so far.

    1. Better concentration
    2. Better sleep
    3. Stable mood
    4. More energy
    5. Physical body shape improved. Not looking as skinny as I used to be.
    6. I looked so much more handsome (for real)
    7. Hair grows a lot faster

But they came with a price. Is that you will have to go through the flatlines or withdrawal symptoms first before you're getting a grip on the lifestyle with the benefits. Nofap simply resets you back to "base level" or "feeling normal". However you call it. I highly recommend a book called "Your Brain on Porn" by Gary Wilson (the guy who started this NoFap basically). Understanding the addiction itself will help you A LOT in your journey. If you are not really into reading, you can search "Gary Wilson porn" <<< (i know it sounds funny lol) on YouTube. You will find a lot of interview videos from former porn users interview Gary Wilson.

NoFap does NOT give you Superpowers
NoFap DOES give you more time

It gives you more time for 2 reasons
    1) You don't realise how much time you really spend PMO until you actually stop
    2) You will use the PMO time saved to do something which distracts you from PMO

All the things you do to distract you or stop you from PMO will lead to what people call "Superpowers"
    - If I spend PMO time working out, I may feel more confident in my body - "Superpower"
    - If I spend PMO time cooking more, I may learn to cook better and feel happy about that - "Superpower"
    - If I spend PMO time studying, I may get better test results and feel smarter - "Superpower"

Instead of thinking about Superpowers, think about time.

    Time is priceless.

  7. As some alluded to, you get so far in the hole with this crap, coming out of it feels amazing. It’s like you’re a brand new person.

It’s not easy but it’s worth it.

More time to do healthy things that make you a much better person.

  8. Stable mood isn't correct. That's something to be fixed with good philosophy books.

  9. Sure, there are benefits. But you have to work for them. When people fall in love they are suddenly walking on air - you know all the cliches. That's how I found the first three months on my nofap journey. Then, reality arrived and I came crashing back to Earth. Some superpowers! Those feelings were an illusion. Nice, but an illusion. But I'll say one thing, I am so glad I have chosen to live life without PMO. It's definitely a struggle, but I don't care.

thx for the advice friend, i know how it is not be able to look a cashier in the eye, i think i have so much guilty in my subconscience i can't do these things properly, but i already feel some good things coming back, like being able to sleep better, and look people more straight in the eye. I am still in the first week, i am having some backup help from my religion, from God i hope i'll reach who i really am with the passing of time

Nothing. People go in with a set of expectations and when it's not met they get upset, complain and maybe understandably feel like they were lied to. At least qualify it in terms if it CAN have certain benefits, (but whether it will in your case is another matter) but if you can't trace the cause and effect and have to take the words of other people you don't know on the internet for it that's by nature a very insecure thing isn't it? But if you just think about it you can probably imagine it keeps your mind clear and that can have secondary benefits. For some I don't even know if they see mental clarity as a benefit. I don't recommend the psychological game of focusing on a laundry list of benefits and just trying to go for abstinence and not really looking at how anything works.

Neither do a lot of people doing this. But in becoming a dentist you would have had to study, so you can learn about it whereas that's quite a stretch from some of the people doing this. So you can spend a little effort doing this for yourself. Reading Wilsons book Your Brain On Porn should be very doable for you.

  13. "Superpowers" are just a neolinguist term for Marvel fags. Say "return to normality". You will not had any kind or superpower with stop touching your dick, just your body at the original state -before the addiction-.

Talking about esoterism, your sexual energy will grow up and you will feel It, if you will be able to handle it (your basic energy) your consciousnes, soul, etc...Will help you to evolve and became a better men and a better soul, and not just theorically an animal with survival/reproductive/ primal, egoistic, instinct. This is just a test for your evolution.
