Yeah I can agree with you here on that one. People like me tend to have a problem with out filters & type what's on our head. Sometimes things that we say are triggering to others. It would be your choice. But I'd say that you should keep it & not look in the forums. Just make a journal & take part of a challenge or 2.

  4. Just don't scroll too much on the forum that's what I do. And limit your Internet browsing in general. I am only replying to this because it was the first thing that popped up.

Community is key to recovery, you need some place to find someone who can help you to overcome this because I believe 100% that i's almost impossible to do this alone on will power and self control. If you don't want to be here I absoutely understand, there are many triggers here, but maybe keep it as a tool for your recovery, a place to post and then leave it at that. I recommend the SAA (Sex Addicts Anonymous) as a palce to look into, I have been a part of it for 1.5 years now and although I resistant to take part in the 12 Steps and interacting with others as much, I found that opening myself up to a programme, one of which I could never have come up with myself has helped me greatly. If you need any more information loo kthem up, or drop me a message. I know when people look them up they see them as god squaders as "god" is mentioned everywhere, but it's not like that in any way.

Man, one key aspect of any addiction recovery is some sort of social connection. You need to communicate your addiction somewhere. Of course there are going to be triggers. But at the same, there is very useful information here. Last year , I deleted Reddit and stopped using nofap subreddit, but then I figured that it was actually an important part.

  8. we work hard to keep this site as clean as possible... if you ever notice anything “triggering” please feel to report it and/or reach out to one of us for help. That’s what we’re here for.

It actually could be a good idea to only communicate with a small group like an AP group. People also talk about whatever on here, plenty of off topic stuff so even if it's not triggering it may be distracting. But of course you would need to figure out the AP group situation. If the cost is not an issue I guess there's the official support groups through video calls. (Zoom?)
