Yeah that's near freezing temperatures for me. I ended up in hospital just after 10 seconds of going under the ice, so I'm hesitant about this, knowing that my body can react severely to extreme cold. I do take colder showers. I start warm, then dial it to as cold as I can take (usually down to say 10 degrees). I stand like that for a minute or so, then get out refreshed. I think I'm just going to start slowly with 'colder than my body temp' showers. (E.g. I'll start at 15 degrees, then work my way down).
I have been doing this for three weeks and my body is used to it. I simply go in, have a hot rinse and cleanse my body, then turn it onto the iciest temperature and stay there for about one or two minutes
I'll try this, thank you. (edit) Ok I just came from my cold shower. As cold as I could make it. I was shivering underneath it and only had a tiny bit of warm added, as the real cold was really very much ice-cold. I used the soap, washed my hair and was shivering as I was cleaning myself. Now I'm tingling all over but it's very calming and seems to be helping a lot. I was never convinced about this. But now I think I want to just switch to cold showering. I'll lower the temperature quickly enough in the coming days!
You see, here is the thing. I have a hot shower beforehand specifically to wash my body off with soap, slightly heat up my hair, and defeat the impurities along with bacteria which is why the heat is essential. Then with the cold part of the experience; I turn it to the coldest temperature available, so cold if you turned the dial anymore south-the dial would break. Now, this took time, I began with slightly cold and for me that was freezing, and so time and time again I accelerated the experience from cold to ice. And now, any number before COLD is warm. My dial goes from 1 - COLD, 0 being before COLD meaning this is freezing. It has many benefits and simple ones too! Such as; in the winter you will not suffer, weather fluctuations will be easily bearable, and others that I forget to remember.
Those who don’t take cold showers subconsciously want to be aroused. Cold showers stop arousal afterwards, but here’s the thing: it’s better for sperm production.
This past winter I bathed in the snow. It was such an intense experience. Like, trying to get your body clean before your skin starts to literally freeze produces a remarkable high. I remember coming inside to warm up, shouting with joy and feeling amazing. Ofc, I couldn’t feel my feet. Parts of me were bloody from the ice scraping against my skin. But none-the-less, I went back out and did it again and again.
Summer is almost gone and Autumn arrives (and Winter is coming uuuh uh uuuh) time to start the cold showers! 'Cause in Winter we want to be warm and brave in our hearts, right?
Yeah, I have taken cold showers at least once a week since July 2020. Usually the once a week happens when I feel weak, but I still force myself to do it anyway. I have ADHD, and it can be really hard for me to concentrate on certain things. Cold showers force me to stop being a scared little boy and actually grow up! I am so proud of myself, I went a whole month doing them twice a week, and my new goal is a month doing them 3 times a week (and so on). I am not ready to do it every day though, I will do it gradually! Good job bruh!
Congrats on 39 days, you should be proud! (If you're curious, even though my progress says 'not using porn' I have still been on and off limiting fapping and ejaculation)
nice post man. on my 3rd cold shower this year. dnt think ill ever go back to hot unless im shaving my crotch, nuts, or taint/gooch.
