I think there is a more suitable forum for this post: Rebooting in a Relationship, especially the Partner Support chat.
I've read comments like this before, but i never get tired of hearing the personal experience of each one. What they think, why it annoys them, why they hurt, what they want, what they wish... It helps me have a better understanding about how SO feel and hurt.
Having sone insight is always helpful to PA who read them and for some SO terapheutical to write it down, to put it into words, so feel free to share as much as you want.

 

I understand you. Some people don't see it as nothing serious, even some girls say that they are not worried because their partner watches porn, it's not real women he's hanging out, they're just pixels on a screen! Well, I don't understand these types of girls since watching other women naked rather than your actual girlfriend should hurt a lot. I like to put myself in others' shoes: if my girlfriend watches porn, I'd be disappointed and hurt because she's watching other men naked, not me, even though are just pixels on the screen.

 

this is how you feel, some feel nothing, some feel exitment, some feel disgust, some feel unsecure, some feel realeaf. It really depends on the woman.

I remember the only time spoke this stuff with an ex SO and she felt nothing at all.. been honest I don't think she really belived me at all.

 

I’m not sure about that analogy, because you know what else are just pixels on a screen? Your money on your bank account, or a video call with your girlfriend, but more importantly, it could also be Minecraft, and Minecraft is the best game ever made dude. We live in a virtualizing society, so I guess the trick is to make sure these interactions are not lacking human quality.

 

I mean, instead of looking at women you don't know on a screen, connect with your partner, that's all, don't betray her looking at other women, it's easy, we should not complicate ourselves with this matter

 

My comment was mostly a joke, but,
Looking at other women is a betrayal? That I don’t know, I feel it’s a natural instinct, but of course it could be a pure cultural construct, or a mix of both, what’s your insight on this?

For instance, it’s really hard for me in sports, because there are many strong women, but if they’re not graceful and pretty I don’t admire them as much, that’s biological I’ve thought, because you want to reproduce with someone who’s got the best genes, but then again, how is exactly being ugly a biological disadvantage(aside from the social disadvantages)?

 

I think you’re complicating yourself way too much dude. See it as this way, if you had a girlfriend, would you like to know that she is watching naked men on the internet instead of you?

 

Yeah no, I simply confused the meaning of “looking at other women”, I figured it was a general commentary but the virtuality was implied, so I’m really not going to defend that, my comment was referring to real life women in real life situations.

Would I like if my gf looked at other men? Probably not. Could I blame her? All I’m saying is there’s a biology indetermination for me so I wouldn’t blame anyone until I’d gotten more clarity.

And yeah, I like complication, it’s what makes conversations interesting.
