This is my second day without porn but i am experiencing intense brain fog. I am not able to think properly. I am having moderate urges to fap. I am distracting myself through reading books but not that effective. What do you do when you have brain fog?
    Please help me out.

I do something that's easy and fun. Example like separating snacks that I like and eat them! Based on my experience, it's useless to do productive things when I'm having brain fog. It's better for me to remove my brain fog first (or wait it to gone)!

My to do list on brain fog:
    - Eat some snack (buy if you don't have it)
    - Take a simple walk (out of my desk)
    - Tidy up my bedroom (that's easy to do, and makes you feel so productive!)
    - Preparing for tomorrow's lesson (Not by learning it, but keeps everything ready like putting the book on your table, make sure there's a pencil near them, etc)
    - Drink more water (seems not like a big deal, but very important!)
    - Consider some candies (don't eat too much)!
    - Soft drink is nice option as well (don't drink too much)!

Yeah it's difficult doing productive things while you have brain fog. I thought of doing a workout but not sure whether I can do it anytime. Maybe I should do some push ups while I have those urges.

I also start workout again recently (had done it in the past, but stopped). It helps boosting my sleep quality (I have sleep problem for years, but workout just simply cure it somehow)! For consistency, I do it daily. If you can't do it daily, I suggest you to find a day where you can really do it (example on Sunday). It's quite challenging to do workout everyday (I have tons of class), but I managed to do it by literally do it anytime I have the chance, even if it's lunch break time (online class, thanks to COVID)! I also set a boundary that I won't workout after evening bath (so I must do it before evening).

    I hope this help you!

Even then you can't do all sorts of exercises. There are things like not doing exercises right after eating. So I felt maybe just doing push ups while you are urged is fine.
I am a college student. So I too have to attend classes. Did your workout routine work for you? I am curious. Can you tell me what's your routine?

I'm a high school student (I'm 16)! Majority of the day, I need to attend the class from 7 AM to 3.30 PM (someday, the class can finish up to 7 PM).

With that uncertain schedule, it's extremely hard to fix a time to exercise. So, I tackle it by Fix a dynamic time to exercise (I fix it at 11 AM to 6 PM, you can modify it based on your schedule). In a nutshell, I must workout at that time with some restriction.

    The restriction:
    - Make sure to eat nothing an hour before workout (that's dangerous to workout right after eat)
    - No leaving class for workout
    - I must bath after workout at whatever time it is (in order to keep my body clean)

Although the restriction seems strict, it's not! Actually, it's very important in keeping me not to off-track (or injure myself).

Now you have see how limited my time is in order to workout, so I must prepare everything as detail as possible.

I'll take advantages on every spare time available, majority it's lunch time (or after class if the class ends before 4 PM).

The workout itself is divided into some part of body:
    - Chest
    - Back
    - Arm
    - ABS
    - Foot

Everyday, I train one part of the body for 10-15 minutes.(sometimes more if I still strong enough and have the time, somehow). The workout is quite intense for a person that spend majority of its time sitting behind his desk (I had some muscle remained from previous workout routine). For movement itself, I find inspiration on a fitness app.

    Example:
    - Chest workout, do push up 8 x 6 times then burpee 10 x 2 times. (8 x 6 means do 8 push up for 6 session. It simply means do 8 push up, *rest for a while then do 8 push again until you do it for 6 times).

*I take 25 seconds to rest

How about the success rate? Surprisingly, 100%! Maybe sort of luck or the method is so efficient, I never miss any day from the beginning!

For urges, usually I face it by opening this forum if it's strong enough. I'll spread some positive energy to those in needs and my urges will become much more controllable (Spoiler: I open this forum right now in trying to controlling my urge).

**Now you may wonder, did I take bath after you workout in lunch break time? Yes, unfortunately! If I don't take a bath, my body will feel so sticky when I'm learning after lunch. The lunch break itself starts from near 12 PM and end before 1 AM. No time to eat the lunch itself, but I can eat my lunch while attending online class after workout :D

    Hope this help, cheers!

  8. Take it as a sign that your reboot is officially underway!!

I haven't found that there's anything I can really do to directly tackle the brain fog, but you must remember that any steps taken back to your old habits will fuck up the situation even more. You ALWAYS want to stay away from PMO, no matter what. Rest assured it will get better with time (how long exactly? I can't say. But trust, it will get fixed).

Reading books, time off from social media, sleeping plenty (during appropriate hours, don't be sleeping at 2AM and waking at 10AM), meditation, bodyweight workouts, time outdoors, lots of water are things that help your brain. Again, I don't think these things will directly tackle the brain fog but they will still help other parts of your damaged brain - and that's always a help. But a good mindset to follow is to not focus on how bad the brain fog is, but keep treating your brain well, know that every week it will get that much better and in the meantime work with all the focus that your brain is able to offer you at that point in time. Those activities help a lot so make them a part of your routine and in only a month you'll see how much they do for you.
