Is is really clear to you WHY you want to quit PMO?

You gotta love something - thats where why comes from. Love God, Jesus or yourself or other person or something you do. Only love can kill addiction once and for all since love is most powerfull force on this earth, God's love especially. Most guys on here would quit addictions for other half, but others need more meaning in life than that. Discover life, truth, purpoise. Because Jesus loves you, He loves you like crazy.

 

I quitted porn because I wanted to be the best kind of person to my partner, since I'm in love for her I stopped watching porn, also because of the school, but the strength came more for being in love

 

As long as you stay in this love you have the strenght to stay clean. It takes daily work and commitment to keep love alive.

 

Agree on that, so that makes sense that loneliness makes one want to or addicted to this sin pmo. Also perhaps pmo is fake sense of acceptance in society. For sure when one have love to express and theres an object in front, like p or sexual thoughts then it channels that inner force to that object. So it helps to stay clean by removing object like p or thoughts. But what helps even more is to channel that love in right direction, like close people by - do good for each other and sometimes help random people we met. Like Paul says in Bible to his beloved son in Christ Thimoty -

" So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart."

 

Personally I don't have a 'why', I'm just doing it because I can

 

I'm quitting because I want/need to be a great father, husband. I also am tired of how I feel when I use it. I'm tired of feeling self-loathing and ashamed.

 

that's so true, a lot of times I have urges since I'm in love for that woman, but it also gives me the strength to overcome every single crave, so it depends in a lot of factors, I recommend mix techniques of nofap

I quit porn because I realize now it took away so many opportunities for growth and relationships. It was also used to cover my trauma. After all, I can't think about the bad stuff that happened to me if all my thoughts are porn.

 

I have two Whys. Firstly, to improve the sexual relationship and intimacy with my wife, which has suffered due to my addiction to masturbation. Second, for my sanity. To get off the rollercoaster of pleasure followed by guilt. I need to figure this out.

 

After having just come off a vicious relapse two weeks ago it’s hard to say why I have stopped. My brain is telling me 100x per day to keep acting out. But I do believe in my heart God wants me to stop. So right now that’s why I’m stopping.
