I'm a movie lover so I watch often every kinds of movies, should I just check if there is graphic sex in the movie and then don't watch it or do you think it's okay to watch movies with sex in it on the first moments of the reboot?
I'm really looking forward to watch Barry Lydon by Stanley Kubrick, one of the greatest masters of the cinema of all time, the cinematography is just gorgeous, but I know that there are prostitutes and nipples in it, should I just wait?

    Pornography
    Noun

    1. The depiction of material, in writing, pictures, video, or otherwise, with the intent to cause sexual excitement.
Sounds pretty simple to me. We have to give up some of the things we love to become the people who we want to be.

Movies, for the most part, are not made with the intent to cause excitement.

However, many movies contain pornographic content. It's pretty easy to find content and parent's guides online, which can be used to determine if the movie is okay for you to watch.

It's not porn unless it's meant to be.
And yes I know parents guide I used them to know if I could watch movies with my family or I had to watch them alone.
I think that I'll see Barry Lyndon anyway, cinema is an Art so great and I love it so much that I can't give it up.
I just see nothing bad in watching a movie with sex in it, in most of them with sex you only see boobs and maybe butts, the movie isn't doing it to pleasure you and you aren't either.

I'm not going to tell you how to live your life. All I can do is offer you my best advice, and tell you what I do.

For me, I boil it down to two major considerations. The first is, will this movie cause me to become aroused/excited. It doesn't matter if the intent of the film makers is to cause arousal. What's important here is if it will cause me to go against my beliefs, or tempt me to the point where I'm in danger of going against those beliefs.

The second has to do with whether or not I want to support the movie or tv show. Sausage Party looks like a really funny movie to me, but even if I could confidently watch it without danger of becoming aroused, which would violate my commitment to not lust, I wouldn't. I wouldn't because it promises to be an extensively crude movie, and could very easily lead others into viewing the pornographic content in the movie. I refuse to fund that sort of material.

It is up to everyone to find out what is the right thing to do, both for themselves and society. To give up, or more to the point, limit the kinds of movies and other media and luxuries that we indulge, in positively impacts who we are and the world we live in.

As long as you dont watch Nymphomaniac...
I see it more as an oportunity to see a naked body with different eyes.I try not to avoid sex scenes in movies.I am not searching for them neither.
But if they come ,i instantly see them with my freshly installed new eyes.It feels like my body and my mind have understood now,how important it is for me to not let myself go.
I am NOT concentrating myself on specific bodyparts, instead i try to see the whole picture.I try not to emotionally disconnect myself from the story or the characters only because
i am suddenly confronted with nude bodies and my brain tries to tell me some strange things.
Maybe that helps a little bit.

I think you'll be okay, depending on what type you're doing. Sex scenes, most of the time aren't that long, and really not too explicit. However, I can see how they could trigger you pretty easily

Exactly, after all you're seeing a movie, not a sex scene, and often they are very awkward like in movies such as Eyes Wide Shut, Den Brysomme Mannen or The Man Who Fell To Earth, in which the direction is clever enough to disgust you and not to arouse you in any way.

If you can do that without slipping into either lust or arousal, then i think it would be acceptable. It's still too close to the edge for me, and I think the benefit of directing your eyes offscreen for a few brief moments is the best way to handle that situation, especially for addicts.

The other issue is being triggered. Typically I don't like that term, but it has its place. I've found that if I watch something with sex, nudity, or sexiness, I'm much more vulnerable to temptations throughout the following day.

I couldn't even watch a comic book movie without relapsing so I think it is all based on the viewers mind while watching

@MaxGoof Here is something I wrote in my journal few days ago.

As you can see, it all depends on how do you react to it. Two weeks ago I have tried watching tv show "The Mentalist" but I just couldn't stand watching Teresa Lisbon played by Robin Tunney. There was something about her which was so painful for me to watch.... If I kept watching her I would consider that as a Porn-sub, because I was so triggered by her.
On the other hand, I can watch many other tv shows and simply enjoy without ever thinking about sex. If I see a sex scene I turn my head the other way and wait until it's gone.

So, take that into consideration. If you are triggered and you start thinking about porn that I would recommend you to stop watching whatever you were watching.

I am a movie lover too, and Barry Lyndon is amazing piece of art.

It is amazing to me that in my case I can see a attractive female in real life and have no masterbating thoughts, but on a screen I too can be a complete jack of addict

So we are in the same boat :) I doubt this will ever change.
But this is good I guess, at least we don't see women's in real life as sex objects :)
