    Good afternoon/evening/morning/night fellow Fapstronauts,

I hope you're all doing well and starting the New Year strong. I unfortunately have already gotten off on the wrong foot.

My longest streak was the beginning of last year. I made a NY resolutions to stop playing solos on the Devil's clarinet, and by golly, I succeeded for 135 days. I went the full semester fapless. It was awesome!

Then I started working. My job doesn't really stress me out as much as it did when I was first starting, but for some reason, I've had probably about 5 or 6 nights since I started where I just can't freaking sleep.

Such a night happened this Monday. I tossed and turned, looked at the clock, and it was 2:30. I tried again and again to do the breathing exercises and they just wouldn't do it.

I went to work on no sleep, which, as I'm sure you know, blows. I was okay until the afternoon, where I really began to drag serious ass. I forgot to mention that these sleepless nights usually come in twos. I may get 1-3 hours one night, then the same the following night.

Dealing with 36 hours or so with no sleep, I was desperately trying to fall asleep last night. I tried the 4-7-8 breathing technique multiple times to no avail. Finally, around 9:30, I MO'd. No porn thankfully. I did it again at 4:00 trying to get an extra 2 1/2 hours.

What else can I do to help get some sleep? In college, I didn't really have this problem. It's usually because I have to pee that I get up in the middle of the night and then can't fall back asleep, but this Monday I just couldn't do it at all, as well as last night until I MO'd. Any advice is welcome.

There's been an few occasions where I couldn't sleep well, and had to go to work sleep deprived. I find going to bed slightly earlier helps, it seems to work better than breathing exercises or anything else.

I've gone to bed earlier too. I try to be in bed by 9:00 at the latest because it usually takes 30 min.-1 hr. To fall asleep.
