Hi everybody! I'm a new member here and new to this concept of rebooting; I must say I am ready for a change since I have been FAPing my entire adult life and I am ready for a change. At my worse I would FAP up to 4 times in a day although one or twice seemed to be the norm; I did notice that I was addicted to porn and when a female friend was helping me find an app on my iPhone a week or so ago, she saw one of the open porn windows and mentioned it saying it was totally inappropriate and she was right; that was enough shame for me to make a change; I found this website and registered and now I'm into day 3 with no FAPing. I have seen some great posts and testimonials on here about this new lifestyle change and I am very encouraged. Thank you to the founder of this sight and for all of you who post your thoughts; it is so nice to not feel all alone in this lifestyle change. Im at day 3 and I feel a bit of center, but have a lot more energy and having been accomplishing more during my waking hours; tonight I went for a 7 mile run; that would not have happened if I had come home, had a cold one, and stayed in my routine.
It sounds like PMO hasn't destroyed your life yet, which is all to the good. What sort of help can we offer?
Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you. The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?
Lots of community members talk about having an "emergency kit," when reason and strength fail. Where can you go in public to surround yourself with people, even if you don't interact with them? What kind of meditation or prayer can you use to reach for serenity and a moment of respite?
