Basic information - I'm 22 years old, male, from Iceland but moved to Denmark 6 months ago.

With the beginning of a new year just a few days from now, take a minute to think about who you were in the beginning of 2017. Were you basically the same person you are now? Or have you made any real progress? How do you honestly feel about how you've spent your year? Do you feel proud, disappointed, or just content?

I remember clearly who I was and the situation I was in. For the entirety of 2016, I was living with my father in a tiny apartment, all I did was sell weed and cocaine, and just sitting at home smoking weed, surfing the web, playing video games, and PMO'ing 1-3 times a day, eating unhealthy foods, and the only times I went outside is when I was selling drugs and occasionally meeting friends, who were wondering what the fuck happened to me. By the end of 2016, I decided it was time for some real change. Since then I have managed to:
    • Stop selling drugs and get a real, properly paid job
    • No longer smoke weed/cigarettes
    • Cleaned up my diet, actually eat very healthy.
    • Haven't played video games in 6 months.
    • Spend maximum 10 minutes a day on social media now.
    • Meditate daily
    • Read books daily. (Books like Mastery, The Power of Now, Way of the superior man, So good they can't ignore you, The purple cow, Waking up and more)
    • Halfway done with "The Ultimate Life Purpose Course" by Leo Gura
    • Reduced PMO'ing from 1-3 times a day to 1 time a week on average.
    • Feel a lot better and more optimistic about myself and life in general.
This is not to brag, but to give you a sense of the path I am on. To me, personal development is not some 2-3 year process to get certain results, but a life-long process of growth to become the best version of yourself you can possibly be. To live the best life you possibly can, which is not a life of seeking pleasure, but a life of growth.

I have come far in one year, but I could have done a lot better, and I am still a beginner and I have A LOT of things I can still work on and improve, such as:
    • Beating my PMO addiction once and for all.
    • I still tend to surf the web and procrastinate doing personal development work.
    • Stop drinking on the weekends
    • Finishing the life purpose course and actually start living my life purpose
    • Be more responsible with my finances
    • Read more
    • And a lot more.
Why would You/I want to make and be a part of such a group?

Personal development can be a lonely road, not because of not having any friends and family or opportunities for socializing, but because there's not many people who are even aware of this kind of lifestyle, and even less people who are serious about it.
This group will hopefully give us a sense of real connection, friendship, support and accountability not just to ourselves but to the people we are on this journey with, and ultimately to the world.

Finally, what kind of vision do I have for this group?

We are not just some strangers over the internet. We are a group of like-minded individuals who truly know and care for another like family. We are honest about who we are and where we are in life, and where we would like to be.

We provide each other with honest opinions, advice, holding each other accountable, and push each other to be better. We are not afraid to tell each other if we think they're slacking, fooling themselves or not being specific enough with their goals or living up to those goals.

The most important part of making this thing work, is having the mindset of contributing to each other and the group. That means actually becoming somebody who has something of value to offer to the other members of the group.
You don't want to be the person who falls behind everybody else, to a point where you can't offer them any real advice or opinion simply because they're so much farther than you on the journey of personal development. It will benefit nobody.

I won't lie, I am a bit anxious about creating this group. I'm sure that there will be some challenges that I did not foresee, but I really have faith that ultimately this will be a valuable learning experience in one way or another. For all of us.

Now finally, I want you to imagine, by the end of 2018, who will you be, and what will you think about how you spent this precious year?
I want you to fully realize that it is 100% up to you whether you will be filled with pride of how far you've come, or filled with regret over all the time you wasted and opportunities you let slip away.

I know which one I'm choosing.

I've been looking for a group like this. I've been looking for a long time.
I'm a 21 year old male from Hawaii who works and lives in China.

    We have accomplished similiar things:
    - quit smoking weed / cigarettes
    - found a real job
    - mimimized social media
    We share similiar problem:
    - internet surfing / procrastination
    - Drink less during free time

Most importantly: We both believe that an honest and open support group of like-minded individuals would be the most effective way to continue self - improvement.

    Additional goals of mine include:
    - Applying for Grad School
    - Being honest with my girlfriend, co-workers, and family
    - No porn or cheating in 2018

Please contact me as soon as possible. I am very interested.
