    Hi guys,

I've been rebooting - more or less successfully - for the past 6-8 months with only a handful of orgasms (0 PMO over the last 5.5-6months as my counter suggests). I, unfortunately, still have severe ED, no morning wood etc. and I had an orgasm the other day and it has seemed to throw me back into another deep flatline (which of course has frustrated the shit out of me).
Anyway, I called up my doctor and told him everything and he quickly dismissed PIED as legitimate (facepalm). He talked about performance anxiety but then I responded with the "If I touch my dick in the bathroom all alone, I don't get erect or aroused at all"... He seemed to dismiss that. He did however prescribe some viagra for me (I am 23 years old, suffering from extremely severe PIED for as long as I can remember). I doubt they will help but I'll try the pill(s) out later today with my girlfriend to see what happens.

I'll keep you guys posted nonetheless.

p.s. Sorry if this post is a little blurry, I am just so pissed right now lol. I am not even sure what the point of this post was. Just wanted to lash out somewhere and hoping for some support from the community I guess. I'm literally bursting into tears as I write this :((

I feel so broken at this point. PMOed maybe 12k times in a time span of 10 years -.-

I don't know if I have the experience to offer any help but I think it only logical that if you were a very heavy user before then recovery would most likely be a longer process.

My understanding of what you have said is that you are still in the process of rewiring. The first thing is, you are not on hard mode, which is a legitimate choice, but it does slow down the healing because orgasms obviously cause a huge release of dopamine and stimulate the brain's reward circuit. This approach will not prevent you from meeting your objective, but it will take longer than no orgasms at all.

Another factor is your age. It may be that most, if not all, of your teenage years you were viewing high-speed internet porn. This is the most damaging type of porn (especially if you were into hard core stuff) and at the most damaging age. It takes considerably longer for those in your age group and younger to heal from high-speed internet porn use as teenagers. You have been rewiring for about 5 months now. No one can say for sure how long it will take before the brain will be ready to reboot to factory settings as it were. Maybe it will take a year or more! I can hear/feel you groan at this news. Well, look at it this way, if I am wrong and everything is resolved in the next 2-3 weeks it will come as a nice surprise and I will be happy to celebrate with you. But the science indicates otherwise. Please listen carefully to this interview with Gary Wilson (from http://www.yourbrainonorn.com), which touches on this very point.

As for the use of Viagra during the NoFap challenge, I have no knowledge of the efficacy of that. I hope others can advise you.

I understand your frustration with the flatline and having no morning wood etc. But please bear in mind that the flatline is the clearest indication that the brain is recalibrating itself. However it 'feels' to have a dead dick, it is temporary and it will be restored to it's full glory and rock hardness in due course. Don't torture yourself, 'testing' it. Some people do that, get carried away and suddenly pop a boner and end up masturbating or even watching porn as well. Don't do that to yourself. You have come to far to throw away all your hard work so far. I am truly sorry for your distress and I wish you well as you complete your recovery journey.

Not all doctors are created equal. For every doctor that graduated top of his class there's one that scraped a passing grade!

Keep calling until you get one that will take your concerns seriously. If you want some tests get some tests
