90 days

So, I'm not much of a celebratory guy, but today is my official 90 days porn free and on this site. I actually quit porn a couple of weeks before this site but I'm going by the counter.

For me the best way to get away from it was to recognize my triggers, my biggest one was free time. I'm married with 4 kids, so free time is not easy to come by. Free time for me means no work, no obligation to anyone else, dishes done laundry done ect, literally nothing else that needs done that makes sense to tackle in the time available. So I decided to fill my free time with other things. Mondays my wife was going to C.R, so now I go to C.R on Mondays. She works Thursday evenings, so, for now while the kids are out of school, the kids stay up til she gets home.

We are currently separated despite my work, we have been separated for 46 days now. But we are both taking this time to fix ourselves. We have good days together, and we have bad days together. I struggle to keep hope, she struggles to trust. But we are trying, and I am hopeful.

I am hopeful but the trauma caused to significant others by our poor decisions is huge, they need healing from our betrayal just as much as we need healing from our addiction.

 

255 days officially today. It has been hard, a lot of down and a couple of ups.
