    Hi,

    I am 48, a heavy pron user, but not particularly obsessive; recently have been dumped by my unstable GF, 30 yo. (Yes, that's an 18 year difference.) The breakup caused me so much distress and heartache that I started a non-stop PMO marathon bringing myself to exhaustion: getting very little excitement from pron, driving myself nuts trying to ejaculate and failing even after very long sessions, feeling totally hopeless and even getting scared that I might've hurt myself irrevocably by doing this.

    My typical routine during this period: 2-4 times a day just to try and calm myself down and keep me from losing my mind over losing my GF. While that definitely helps, I want to stop this nonsense completely. Moreover, I want to get away from PMO-ing altogether. Only recently I discovered how much damage this addiction caused me, blaming my age and sedentary lifestyle at first without realising what the actual issue was.

    My guess is that I am just one of many folks facing similar problems, nothing new here. Yet wish me luck, please. :)

    Step 1: Today I mercilessly whacked all pron content from my devices. Yes!!

    Dude, 48 years and a sedentary lifestyle? That's not good at all!

    Strart to work out! Working out will let you forget your addiction! Move! Stop watching porn bullshit and get your life together! Become a better person and do productive things, like some good hobbies. Explore new things. Listen to music, learn how to dance, learn new languages. Learn how to paint. Read, open your knowledge. There are many things you can do.

    I know, thanks. While trying to deal with this nasty breakup, I already started to focus on some positive things:

    - I am maintaining "no contact" with my ex-GF;
    - I didn't succumb to drinking or smoking, although both were very tempting;
    - I pushed away suicidal thoughts
    - I resumed my gym routine
    - I never stopped reading

    NoFap (and no pron) is the next logical thing to do, although it may prove to be especially hard, considering how much I'm still into my ex.

    To my surprise, that was not hard to do at all. My head is another story, of course. :)

    Make a proper plan now ans stick to it.In addition,find a new,fulfilling habit that can replace this bad habit.

    For me my head is also another story and for many of us here its the same story, in case of the head the del button is just tricky but if you will and try you can.
