    Great post. The self degradation part is 100% true. I've been holding myself hostage, incessantly abusing myself for so long. I desperately want to quit. But, it being the most consistent thing in my life for so long, it is more than an addiction now. It's some sort of habitual behavioral disorder I've fully engained into my persona. I have no idea how to get out of this, but I'm so tired of feeling like shit, so tired of being neutered.
     
  2. Don't let it control your life. It has taken your happiness, sanity, health and whole lot of other good things. You don't have to let it control one more second of your life anymore, remember that you always have a choice. I suggest getting an AP, setting a schedule of events so that you are always doing something productive with your time, get out more, keep on researching and reading up on the negative effects of pmo, journaling, you name it, there are a ton of useful tools out there. You are not powerless, the addiction only has as much power as you give it.
