In early 1996, at the age of 12, I had a brief six week (or so) spell of masturbating. I quit because my penis was starting to become sore from repeated fapping. My attitude at the time was "The solution to this is to quit masturbation until I am older" thinking I had taken it up too young. I started masturbating again in 2001 when I was approaching 18, intending that this would be a brief return to fapping lasting for 3 weeks maximum, and that I would quit before I had actually turned 18. My "interim measure" of masturbating again has been extended from 3 weeks to 740 weeks (if my calculations are correct). That's 14 years and 2 months! Over the last two weeks I have continued to masturbate despite the fact my penis has dry, cracked, peeling skin from very rough masturbation. After finishing my fap tonight I realised something. My 12yo self was correct... well almost... my 1996 reason for quitting was exactly correct, apart from the last four words!
