I've read numerous posts/replies about how amazing cold showers are, and while I don't doubt that there are great benefits, it's been reeeaaally tough trying to quit taking hot showers. I'm a night showerer (usually like an hour before bed), so when I shower I'm basically winding down for the night and getting ready for bed. From what I understand, cold showers get blood pumping (thus making them great in the morning), which isn't really what I want before bed. There's also science about hot showers; apparently the cooling of your internal body temperature releases melatonin, helping you fall asleep. So should I just switch to morning showers?
Cold showers take the starch out of morning woodies and other unexpected errections. Hot showers can induce reactions that can lead to MO. If a night shower does not cause you problems carry on with them. If you start plumping up drop the temperature quickly.
