As I write this, for the past 5 months I have not intentionally watched pornography or pornography substitutes. My life has improved greatly. But I just accidentally saw porn pic. I am trying to get it out of my mind but it's difficult. Of course I'm not going to go back to porn EVER again, but I feel that image is damaging my progress.

TL;DR there was something on YourBrainOnPorn that said people 11-14 who started watching porn have no chance of recovery and will be permanently damaged.
So even if I have a year of no P behind me, what if I accidentally see another porn pic, or a p-sub? Will I feel drained like I am now? How long until my brain is completely reversed in terms of damage?

Hi mate. Could you provide a link to that, so I can read it in context - thanks man.
It will do very little damage to your recovery from porn. Your sighting od it was unintentional and fleeting. You are to be commended for going over 150 days since you intentionally saw porn or a p/sub. The thing that is really affecting you is that are still masturbating. Each time you do so, the release of dopamine in the brain will be significant. This reinforces your brain pathways which are wired for artificial sexual stimulation! When you stop masturbating, your progress will continue, uninterrupted.

Maybe this problem relates to this:

Try to pose for yourself this task: not to think of a polar bear, and you will see that the cursed thing will come to mind every minute." Dostoyevsky

Create another self in your mind that just observes. Not judging, just quietly understanding the behaviors.

  6. That site makes some valid points, but I don't agree with a lot of it. Your brain is a super computer that takes in and absorbs whatever you feed it, whether it's good or bad. But like a computer, old programs can be overridden with new ones and although you may have images burned into your brain forever, like a childhood memory, a nude picture or anything, it doesn't forever damage you. I have an extraordinary memory and I can pop up past images of my life at will, good and bad, but it doesn't ruin my life. Your brain runs primarily on the present and not the past and if there is more positive thoughts than negative ones, you will act and feel accordingly.

i love nature, my mood was so much better when i was walking in the park. But, i know i gotta deal with air polution in the city, factories over trees. even though i love nature, i can't run away from the truth: nature is being replaced by factories.

u don't watch p or psubs, good ... and not good. good because u have strong determination to not support that addiction, but not good because u are running away from it. if u ask me if we should live with p or psubs or cut down all technology, i would say no pmo addiction In Your Mind,. Because you can run but you can't hide. lust is every fking where, it's even inside ourselves.

u don't wanna go back to pmo, good, but u gotta prepare for triggers when they attack u. how to that? for me is spiritual faith. i have a belief: physical solutions don't solve the root problem.
